I like how SSD's will be mainstream in 10 years. Everything out now will be obsolete in 10 freaking years.

They'll still make hard drives. My point is that when you buy a new computer it will most likely have a SSD.

They need to bring the price down so I can RAID a few together.

Yeah RAID is pretty sweet. Only thing I don't like is the noise it makes.

You should reverse engineer them to install the quiet mod.

I don't know if you're baiting him or if he's baiting you

SSD is not worth it to me in terms of price for performance.
Spend $100 more, get less hard drive space, and a <10% performance increase

Dude is definitely trolling us now.

I don't know what you're basing this on (and I could be very wrong as I'm just talking out my arse) but it feels like a lot more than a 10% performance increase.
I do agree with you on price for performance.. I just picked one up because there was extra room in my budget.

I'm talking about gaming. Boot speed increase is significant and some other OS stuff. But my PC run for weeks at a time and mostly only use it for browsing/gaming/streaming

I noticed my SSD the most while playing Skyrim. I never got a chance to read the lore in the loading screens because they were never up for more than a second

One thing I did a few months back to make minecraft better was reverse-engineer my computer's case and, once I got it open, I installed a new SSD ram.
No one is stupid enough to keep coming back and stating things like this. I bow to your trolling skills, sir.

Am I the only one that thinks he really is this stupid?

He could be trolling, but I've learned to never underestimate an idiot.
