Then enroll him in sports. Let him play outside.

He plays every sport there is..he also plays the piano. He's just wrapping up with soccer and will be starting winter baseball after Thanksgiving. After that he'll play basketball, spring soccer then summer baseball.
Thanks for your parenting advice but I think I got it on my end. Worry about your own kids

I stand by my statement.

@ Devious
My nephew was around 5-6 when he started playing with me at my house. We would shoot "ariens" together on Halo. Good times.
The motion sports games are great, and 360 has some other game franchises that are perfect for kiddos on a rainy day. As stated before though, be mindful of the ratings. And keep him from going online (unless it's a closed group). I'm damn near 30 and some of the crap coming out kids' mouths is pretty awful, even to me. That's my .02

If all he wants to play is sports games, then the Kinect offers some pretty fun sports games.

If your kid likes baseball and would play baseball games a lot, get him The Show and a ps3.
Baseball games are terrible on 360.

Here's all you need to know:
A)Get the console most of his friends have. What do most of his friends have? Probably Xbox.
B)Please, for the love of God, don't get anyone under the age of 15 CoD or any FPS.
C)Use discretion as to what games he gets. I'm not one to be a rating-nazi, but those ratings are there for good measure. I would think that for a 7 year old, Kinect with some of the dancing games and lego games would be most fun for them.

a 7 year old playing The Show is a disaster...

He would learn some colorful language.

Yeah, you might be right.

I can't speak for the campaign all that much, but Halo is probably the tamest out of all the shooters. Not gory at all (a little blood splatter here and there) and no language.
Some of the melee attacks in Reach, however, got a bit more brutal, but still better than BF and COD.
Still don't know if I would play it with a kid, though.

i was just messing with him
my son was playing COD at 5, but just walked around shooting buildings
i would put him in a private match by himself and he would just throw grenades and shoot cars, etc.
he could do that for hours
now, he loves little big planet

The Show is the hardest baseball game ever made, seriously... If Im buying something gaming related for a 7 year old, its gotta be the XBOX and Kinect.

A lot of times, it's not the game itself that's the issue. It's when you go online with it that you have to be careful.
I tried to teach an ex how to play Halo years ago. Gave her a rocket launcher and just sat back and
