Wow, looks like they're going after everything this time. I don't know if I'll be buying one but it's tempting as a home entertainment and portable device.

I'm kind of sold honestly.

I like portable gaming so I'm not a super hard sell, but it looks better than I thought it would.

Also, like that they focused on some games. Mario Kart, Zelda, Splatoon, new 3d Mario, and Skyrim. Not bad.

Skyrim in a taxi and Zelda on an airplane?

I'm sold.

I was already sold for BOTW since I don't own a Wii U; I'm all in on this now. Surprised that all the rumors turned out to be true.

I'm so in. Finally Nintendo is doing something right

Do we have any info on how powerful the portable version is?

Except that ugly arse oval controller/screen shop. Thing was fricking horrible.

I'm cautiously optimistic about it. The name is cheesy, but different. People can recognize it. No confusion.

Running Skyrim is cool, but that's a 5? year old game, so not earth shattering. Still nice to run on a mobile platform.

Curious if there is some extra power in the dock so that it isn't limited in power to that of a handheld.

Risky idea by Nintendo, but looking more like the Wii/DS type of idea as opposed to the WiiU fiasco.

A sampling of Switch Partners:

Interesting to note:

1. Mix of Mobile, Nintendo Handheld, and Major Console Game Companies
2. No Rockstar....so no joint RDR 2 announcement
3. Square Enix.....

Which is a good indication....this is probably not powerful enough for current gen games.

This is the big thing. If they can support one single console, and put everything on it, then it can work.

However, it doesn't look like the setup is optional (I don't know, maybe it is?). As in, you can't buy JUST the screen/controllers, which was the rumor. I could be wrong though.

Bethesda, Atlus, FROM and Bandai, SqaureEnix, looking promising for RPG fans.

Also, there is no "portable version" this should be the same hardware, the switch part looks just like a dock to me.

Need to see specs. I don't need a PS5 in capabilities, just something way better than what the U was when juxtaposed against the other current gen.

So I can play games while I lay in bed and the wife can't complain that I "never come to bed with her because I play video games after the kids are sleeping"?

Welp, count me in. I assume this thing will also have the same video apps people want (Netflix, Amazon, Twitch, etc) so that is just a bonus.

Nintendo might actually make me buy the first console they have offered since the first Wii.

It's reportedly packing a Tegra X1.

That's what it seems like.

I'm really interested in Cartridge Size and App/Store Capabilities. Does the screen device have some level of storage.

And to that....most large modern games now require GBs of storage regularly (Overwatch was like a 36gb install). That should tell us a lot about the capabilities.

Take Two is listed so I wouldn't count out the possibility of RDR2 just yet.

Looks very promising. A couple of years ago I was all about mobile gaming but my life doesn't really requite it as much anymore.

The end of the video is pretty funny. Hey Esports are cool right?
