Has anyone played it yet?
The story begins strangely with NY being nuked, but then gets right into the pretty characteristic fantasy story seen in Studio Ghibli movies.
Gameplay is pretty similar as for fight controls. Only thing I am not a big fan of is the inability to sneak up on enemies.
One interesting addition is the little characters (higgles or something) who add additional mechanics to the fights, such as forcing flying enemies to ground with a black hole, building a cannon up fire at enemies, and healing the team.
Coolest addition is the battle game. You get to level up and attack an army with your own force. I haven’t played for very long yet, but I’m hoping that it has something to do with building the kingdom.
Characters are pretty likeable.
The villain could be better. The White Witch was a significantly better villain, at least from what I’ve seen so far.
Anyone else play it? I was a big fan of the first game and I’m hoping this one comes close.

I liked it a lot. The only thing that annoyed me was the feeling the developers really didn't know who they wanted the main character to be. Is it Roland or the boy king?

Yea, they don’t really define that.
I’m liking the kingdom building so far.

I just wish they would release the first one on something other than PS3 or PS+.

I picked this up this week after a co-worker told me about it and Best buy had it for 30. I am looking forward to playing it, but I just started FF15 finally this week lol.

Played it and beat the whole thing. Swear to god it’s the cutest allegory for the American revolution ever created

I probably would have started it this week, but I opted for Dragon Quest. Should get to it before the end of the year though.

just started this one. first hour i thought it wouldn't be very good, but around the 2-3 chapter it starts getting solid.
