Are you playing in an online league or just doing a Franchise?

I would buy it. If you've never played any version of MLB The Show then you are already well behind the curve. You have much to learn. If may even behoove you to go out and find MLB The Show '13 just to play a cheaper version. This way you have an idea of what to look for in '14.

Road to the Show is what a lot of people play. You create your player, go through the minors, etc...it's kind of like a role playing game inside of a baseball game.

I play mostly offline Franchise. I like to download the Operation Sports rosters with update prospects and full minor league rosters and just play the games. But I'm boring like that.

that's how I am too. I just can't keep up with an online franchise because I never know what my weekly schedule will be like.

So I go the extra mile and get really into it. I already have a spreadsheet of the guys I'm considering to draft and so forth

I'm like that with NCAA. From editing all the players to look they would in real life, to putting players that may not start into certain formations so they could get playing time.

The thing im looking forward to the most is the pre determined counts to speed up the game. I think that's going to be a great addition to the series.

Rather than starting every single at bat with an 0-0 count, there's a setting in the game modes where the game will automatically generate a count. So you could start the at bat with a 3-0 count, or a 1-2 count. It's supposed to speed the game up.

So much fricking this. I would get it just for the fact you can have online franchise with friends and for Road to the Show. Those two game modes make it a must, other wise it would just be meh.

This is what's going to make the game much more enjoyable, because Im an impatient fricker and I liked swinging at the first pitch which almost guarantees an out so I'd have to set the remote down and watch the first two pitches, then play around with the count, which is actually really realistic....just too time consuming.

Y'all know this isn't anything new right? The last 3 installments had this option

ETA: maybe it wasn't when I was batting, but when on base

Really? I guess I just like to hit. Why on earth would I want to speed up my favorite part of playing the game? Its not mandatory right?

Pre-ordered the Show last night and will be ordering my PS4 soon.

Have an XB1 currently. No problems with it but decided I absolutely can't miss another year of The Show.
