HDCP is High Definition Copyright Protection. It was there way of preventing unauthorized reproduction of Blu-Rays etc. The PS4 never removed the HDCP block, so you couldn't hook up any HDMI cables straight through to a capture card. So anyone who wanted to use their El Gato, Hauppauge HD PVR, or any other card had to purchase an HDMI converter/splitter box to bypass the block.

HDCP pissed me off bad back in the day. I had a big old standard TV and a PS3. Wanted to hook it up to my PC monitor and it wouldn't let me.

How do we not in the know utilize the HDCP off feature?

The HDCP feature only effected those who either stream to twitch via capture card, or use said capture card to record videos for their YouTube channel. If neither of those categories apply to you, then you will not notice a difference.

Anyone know if the show will be doing any type of deals where I can buy game on ps3 to start then buy ps4 version for another 10 bucks, like they did with launch games?

The one thing I do like about the month delay is that Knight should have his roster done by the time the PS4 version comes out so I won't have to wait a week or two before getting fully invested in the game
