I just played my game vs OSU.

#2 Cal knocks off #1 Oregon St in Berkley. I won by 17 I believe but it was much closer than that. Tied at half, up by 7 into the 4th. I just could not run the ball on your old defense 9s. I can usually get 7 ypc against the CPU, but I was at 4ypc if that. I couldn't do shite. Luckily I converted 3 long passes and my defense was stout

I've got a question for anyone who claims to be good at defense. Now I'm not trying to ask for all yalls secrets but does anybody have any tips as to how to have a semi decent defense. Im pretty damn food at offense if I do say so myself and can almost always outscore the cpu, but I can't keep even the cpu under 35 for the life of me, so I'm concerned for when I have to play one of you veterans . Any tips or formations that someone would like to share

He started off like 13/13. I think once momentum picked up though it was harder for him to keep it going. Only threw 1 INT, good completion %. Just not a ton of yards

I'd say 3 things.

One, having players as good as we have is definitely helpful. My DBs are always talented and fast.

Secondly, every game is different. Some times I'll come out blitzing a ton, and I get a bunch of sacks. Some times, I'll do the same and the QBs get rid of the ball quick and I never touch them. Sometimes I sit back in coverage and I get torched, sometimes I get picks. Sometimes zone works, sometimes man works. It's really trial and error until eventually I can find a defense that gives the CPU trouble.

Thirdly, pre-snap alignment is half the battle. Make sure, especially if you are playing man to man, to see how your defense is lined up compared to their offense. You don't want to have guys covering other guys on the other side of the feild. Also keep in mind the CPU keeps the RB in to block alot and so if you are playing man to man and have a guy covering the RB

Yeah I have trouble getting guys lined up correctly in man if I'm trying to run exotic blitzes, especially my safeties. Half the time I don't have time to put them where I want before the ball is snapped it's so frustratING at times.

Moved up to #3 in the recruiting rankings with 11 commits:

That's alot of green numbers. I'm excited. These guys will be great for me. I'm off to a good start. Unfortunately it's pretty much all downhill from here. Can't find anyone else worth a darn at any positions I need. I must have scouted 50 guys last week too.

I have a small class, but quality.

That beast of an athlete (98 spd, 90+ acc & agi) that I want for a RB just locked me out the week of his visit.
Unlock + Visit =

I like what I'm picking up this year and have some good ones left to get. If I had only held out on picking up that one tackle, I would be all GREEN!

If a player locks you out, and you have this ability and you're within a certain amount of points, you can unlock the player.

It puts you into 2nd place a few hundred points behind.

This guy dropped me from his leader to 2200 pts down in a couple of weeks, so I took away points hoping he would lock me out. With the unlock putting me into second, and hopefully a good visit, I should be in the lead after this week.
