Capital one bowl HTF Avenges his early loss this season to me with the win in the rematch 28-21

Good game had my chances and was in control. Better luck next year I guess.

good game PC. My QB was erratic as hell. I basically gave him the Jennings treatment this game and only threw the ball 15 times. Good thing my running game and special teams saved me this game. You were definitely in control. I couldn't stop your damn TEs for nothing. I knew where you were going with the ball but my DBs and LBs kept getting beat by a slow arse TE.

Q, and yall might not want to answer

I have a problem stopping the run on users.

What do you do, do you sell out to stop it....

Maybe its just the way I construct my D....with speed on the Dline not power...worked great before but I think everyone has caught on how to stop my pass rush.

I try to recruit the biggest DTs I can possibly find. I struggle to stop the run sometimes too though. I run a 3-4, so you would think I would never lose outside contain, but in this game the OLBs just run inside with reckless abandon on run plays. I have success against simple running attacks, but not against more complex ones like Wilda.

I find that the players that are hard to run on are the ones that control LBs or safeties really well so that they can find the gaps the RBs will go through and shoot through them. If you can't do this well though then you can end up moving a defender out of position and leaving an open lane. I react too slow to be able to do that successfully.... You could also employ the Wilda route and use the run-mid, run left, and run right options but that can get you burnt badly on a play action...

So I don't really have much advice for you other than try to switch up your defensive alignments so that you put more guys in the box. Thats what I do. People have this belief that bringing guys up leaves you more vulnerable against the pass, but the fact is that in this game your defenders can turn around and in one step be going just as fast as the WRs . Stopping the run is all about user LB skill and positioning your D
