If we start over, can we start at a specific coaching level, or will everyone be at 0?

I'm leaning towards this option as well. I realize new guys we might add would be in the same boat with the points, but I don't think we can make our choice here based on people not in the league.

Yea 1 star teams start at 20 points
USC was gonna be a recruiting juggernaut. Had 30 guys I was leading for. 10 five stars.

Damn, wish that could have worked. Quite honestly though, the distance between the best teams and my team was only getting larger. There is no parody in this league the way it is currently set up, and therefore it makes it less fun. I would much rather start from scratch with everyone else there too then have to avoid half the recruits I wanted because another team was on their list.
On to the new dynasty I suppose. So long Cal. As for what coaching exp level and what prestige program, I don't really care. I enjoy building teams up anyway so I will most likely just stay with whatever team I start with. Whatever yall want to do works with me as well

Definitely start with 20 points for every user. I would say it's comparable to about 4-5 season worth of coaching xp so that's a plus.
I'm actually kind of excited to do the whole draft/picking teams again. It's been a while since we've done that.
As far as new users joining after we start..... I guess we could start a thread on the gaming board and see if anyone is interested. Can't imagine anyone still out there searching for a dynasty this late in the game, but I could be wrong

I know PC is saying 1 star, but that is going to be extremely hard. I just did beat a ranked Oklahoma team with 1 coaching point. Believe me, I could tell I no longer had coaching points when I was playing.
We need to make the decisions today as to what star level to start at, if we are using the rosters we have now or not and, whatever else. I will be crazy busy at work today, but will try to keep up with what is said. If we start with the same rosters, we have a good idea of the team rating, because those ratings are posted on the internet somewhere and can be posted here for all to see.

I think we should start at 3 or 4 star personally, as we all currently have teams either at or above a 4 star level
Updated rosters would be kinda cool as well. Even if you picked a team you had in the past it would be a little different

If we go higher star, I say we add rules to make it interesting something we have never done before...like maybe no picking schools from Cali, Texas, Florida.....no convincing jrs to come back to school....

I don't know about all of that. Maybe restricting some schools, but I don't like the idea of not talking a jr into staying.
I'm good with just about anything, now that restart in inevitable.

I say 4 star school max and can't be ranked higher than like 85-88 or something like that. Just keep it simple

I like this as well. It makes it more of a challenge and in turn, more fun. It evens the playing field and just makes sense realistically. If you're school's good enough to have JRs leaving for the NFL you're going to have to figure out how to reload. I would be for convincing JRs to stay if it weren't so easy in NCAA. Usually 8/10 stay. Sorry 9's
I would like to see new rosters, but I'm for whatever is the smoothest route. I'm down for 1-4*...although 1* are very difficult and 4* seem pretty easy to load up. If 9's put a gun to my head and said "CHOOSE, BITCH!"...I'd say 3*.
While we're here...
IYO, is '14 the best EA NCAA? If not, what gets the vote for best year?

We need everyone's input today. I would like to roll this thing out quickly, since so much time was wasted over the last week or two.
Hopefully, those who haven't been as active, will become more active and communicate more frequently. If anyone feels I am calling you out, I'm not. I really miss the fresh posts of the league and the stories, like other members have said.
I even felt like, what is the point of posting this, if nobody is reading it, so I quit doing recaps.
This is a new beginning and we need to do it right.

I would suggest no higher than a 3 star team. I don't care about ratings as much, just prestige level.
I also am indifferent about updated rosters. If somebody wants to take the time to find them, then it's cool. (Does everyone have to download them or just commish??)

Operation Sports has some good new ones (even ones with 2015 'cruits) and I think only commish downloads.
