I guess. He's only playing ~15 minutes and he's the best player on the team (only guy rated above 80).

Hall of Fame is insanely broken. I understand giving the CPU a little stat boost, but it's more than that. The CPU routinely drains 3's with a hand in their face. Good defense is basically no defense. You got them to alter their shot underneath the goal? Doesn't matter. You get a foul and they make the shot anyway. You stopped their dribble move and stayed in front of them? Doesn't matter. They just launch up a midrange jumper with you right in their grill and swish it like you're not even there.
It's obviously not unbeatable, but it's insanely frustrating because good defense is not rewarded at all when playing against HoF CPU's. It's even more maddening when you run a play to perfection on the other end of the floor only to see your 99 midrange jumper rating PG miss a wide open 15 footer with A+ shot rating a perfect release. I like HoF to be challenging, but I also still want it to be realistic. Blake Griffin making shots a step in front of the 3 pt line and going 9/9 from the line is not realistic.

Finally cracked the starting lineup! I'm starting to realize how bad the Magic are though. No defense and the overall team rating is even worse than the Bobcats.

so last night was interesting to say the least.
I've been taking my time thru the 2014 playoffs as Pistol Pete. Sophomore Season. 1st year with the Heat.
We've swept our way thru the Eastern Conferense Playoffs all the way to the NBA Championship.
Somehow the 5th seeded Spurs made it there. They swept the #1 seed Thunder in the 2nd round. .....right, right.
What is Duncan in 2014, about 45? And how is Tony Parker still a 99 speed at that point? whatever.
Anyhow...
Game 1: Heat 111 - Spurs 88
Lebron James: 41 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals
Pistol Pete: 31 points, 14 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals
Dwayne Wade: 28 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal
Yup, DWade, LBJ, and Pistol combined for 100 of the Heats 111 points. And outscored the entire Spurs team.
it's really not even fair with that trio. the 3 of us combine to shoot over 60% for the season. 65% during the playoffs.
i do get aggrevated at times with how the AI tries to make games close or heated. We'll be up 20 going into the 2nd half and pulling away then all the sudden LBJ, Wade, and Pistol can't hit the side of a barn and we turn the ball over like crazy for a few minutes. dumb.
also, Spoelstra will call a "Clear our for P. Maravich". DWade will have the ball and will immediately throw up some shitty shot or drive to the basket with 3 defenders draped over him, arms flailing, and chunk up something off the backboard for a miss.
shite aggetates me to no end when I'm one shot away from catching fire or have scored multiple baskets in a row for us.

My guy still isn't very good (rated 71 overall, but I started 64), but I've definitely gotten the hang of the game. Scored 20+ points in 3 straight games shooting over 55% in each.
I also now realize that Magic are the worst team in the game. Seriously, their overall rating is 68 to the Bobcats 70.
I want to do well (1 game over .500), but it's going to be tough.

or you can do like i did. go to the hornets. ball out of control your rookie year. then be told the hornets don't have the money to pay you and sign with a winner.

I ended up with the Hornets with my main character. AD and I destroyed in the rookie showcase and rising stars. We had that chemistry so I signed up with them in my fourth year, they also traded for Rudy Gay. Best team in the league

Did you know LeBron James is the best athlete in the world? Also you can get higher off 1 leg, rather than 2.

I've also been known to get up high and come down hard on occasion.

Doesn't your performance also impact your starting statline? It's not too easier to break through when you're only getting 10 minutes/game.

quote:Not that I'm aware of. I'm pretty sure you start out the same no matter how you perform. If there is a difference, it's not noticeable at all.

Interesting. So the 1st pick can be rated 64 from the start.
