That's bold prediction because it's been like that since W@W.

hardened edition is what like 100? 50 for elite. 60 for map packs(if there's four of them). thats 110. the game will be 60. so i'm paying 40 dollars more for the game to get 170 dollars worth of stuff? so i'm just saving 70 dollars. ah, i was off by 30 dollars. What's 30 dollars anyway? i mean, i pissed $30 when i woke this morning.

What subscription are ya'll talking about running out after a year..? XBL?
Also, someone explain that ginormous chart to me. What's with the red circles around the black circles and all that shite?
If possible, I'd basically just like to pay the extra $ to get the map packs every month like AJF said earlier, and then obviously keep them forever once I DL them. Is that possible? I don't really want or need any of that other "bells and whistles" bullshite that apparently comes with it (that I don't really understand anyway).

technically, the game is 60. each map pack costs 15. if there is 4 that comes out, that's another 60. so if you go that route, you spend 120.
now, if you buy the hardened ed, you get the game(60) and elite premium(50) for 100.(60+50)-100= 10 dollar savings.
if you get just the game(60), then decide later on to get elite premium, that's 50. so, 110 that way.
i guess it all depends on what comes out for the individual map packs that come out for the standard people who bought the game. will it equal the content elite premium subscribers get?

I didn't know people bought those 100 editions of games. Seems like a big waste of $$ to me.

quote:The subscription is the CoD Elite membership. Normally, it'll run you $50 a year. You get a year of Elite with the Hardened Edition, which includes some other things in the package. So, you're basically getting a year's worth of Elite for dirt cheap, and that gets you map DLC monthly and on the cheap for a year.

Only if you piss $60 in the morning.

So aside from the DLC every month or whatever, the rest is basically some nerd shite that I don't care about. Preesh.
Still may do it because of the maps though.

Exactly. Think of it as facebook for CoD. That's really all Elite is, except for the DLC stuff. I'm with you...I think it'll be worth it considering how much I like new maps.

This seems like a big waste of money. It also seems like IW is just trying to get people to throw as much money into the game as possible without even playing it.
Just think, if most people on the GB had done this w black ops (mainly speaking abt PS3) they essentially would have wasted $40 as most people didnt even make it past the first map pack.
Not to mention you can grab all the map packs for free after a friend buys them on PS3.
Those people that think they get a sweet advantage playing a map a month in advance must suck at video games bc it takes like 15 min to understand a map.

Somebody explain this in old man terms. I always buy the $150 version but Gamestop said I can't buy that one.

There isn't one. Its regular or hardened. That's it. No toys in this edition
Posted on 10/26/11 at 3:12 pm to Antiheroaz
Does hardened give me the free DLC?

the membership to COD elite gives you that
its 50 bucks a year, or one year free with the 100 dollar edition
unfortunately, everyone is sold out of the hardened edition supposedly
so youll end up getting the game for 60 + the 50 dollar membership if you choose to
