In addition, the historic expansion of the long-standing partnerships will bring MLB The Show, for the first time ever, to additional console platforms beyond PlayStation platforms as early as 2021. Complete details will be announced at a later date.

I've always been a PS guy, but I'm sure this will make a lot of people happy as its the best sports game on the market, and if you didn't have a PS you basically were shite out of luck if you wanted a baseball game.

Good move by SDS.

Rights were never exclusive, but they were leaving cash on the table by not going to other consoles.

Game has gotten significantly worse over the last few years, so hopefully more criticism over the next couple will get things straight before the move.

I hope they don’t become EA, but that’s the way it’s moving.

This last year’s game is one of the best in the series.

it wasnt my cup of tea. the hitting is still complete trash for online play. they really need to up the pitch speeds on pitches lower in the zone and slow them down for pitches up in the zone.

right now in competitive play throwing low fastballs is just asking to get crushed

first year i've given up on ranked seasons and uninstalled the game before the all star break

and i was even ranked World Series but it just was a chore more than fun to play

i'll still be purchasing next years on day 1 because it was a lot of fun for 2 months or so until i realized they werent gonna make any big changes with the patches

I don’t see how y’all have time to hit anything. I played with a buddy of mine and you rarely have time to swing. You have to make up your mind to swing before the pitcher ever releases the ball. Unless I’m missing something...

Finally. I almost pulled the trigger on a $199 ps4 on black friday just for the Show but decided that I want a gaming rig instead.
Super mega baseball 2 is fun but it’s just not the same.

Surely Microsoft is missing out on sales by not releasing Halo 6 on PS5.

I think your opinion really speaks to the depth of this game. Outside of playing an online franchise with some buddies for a few years, I never really touched online. I loved road to the show and even some Diamond Dynasty here and there. Challenge of the week was what has really hooked me though. That mode is so addicting.

17 was the best pitching ever was in regards to pitch speed, imo.

I know people will probably never agree, but you can see how many top tier players stopped playing 18-19 like a couple months into the game.

When I played casually in 14-15 I played on a 65’ tv and couldn’t hit fastballs to save my life. I also swung at everything too.

I moved to a monitor and it completely changed my game. I could turn on heat and it immediately made me a much more competitive player.

They lowered pitch speed in 18 to combat this and it became a death sentence to throw fastballs in the zone.

SDS has done great things in regards to content, but the gameplay has gotten significantly worse.

I'm glad you said this, because back when I was playing challenge of the week on maybe 14-15 (you had to pay to play then), I was playing on a smaller tv and reaction to pitches was so much better. I started playing on a 65' a few years after that and my scores where never as high.

Same for shooters. You tend to have better reaction time when focusing on a smaller screen.

With this and FFVII coming to other platforms it will be a while before I pick up the next Playstation console.

Really excited about this. I don't own a PS3 or a PS4, so when I want to play a baseball game, I have to hook up the ol' PS2.
