I’m almost home. Maxed all personality traits, and all character relations, and finished all bounties last night. Just have the 3 ending tower trials, and 2 more coliseum fights before heading to the final boss

Dont think I’m going to grind to max all archetypes, that would take forever. Should be done just in time for CO33

I spoke to soon. The optional dragon boss at the end of the first trial dungeon is by far the hardest boss in the game so far. I tried several different strategies for about 3 hours last night and never came close, I fear i may be under developed archetype wise and think I should have cooked more buff items. All the videos I’ve watched of people fighting it had to buff the shite out of their party in order to take off massive almighty damage and get extra turn icons to beat it. I’m going to have to grind archetypes to beat it I think unless I drop the difficulty. I read on Reddit that the final boss is just as hard which is crazy

Hard. I’m simply not doing near enough damage. I run out of MP before being even close to finishing it. Most of the fights I’ve watched on YouTube involve using several buffs to boost damage in the thousands

Downloading this now.

Never been into turn based games, but I was bored last month and I downloaded Expedition 33.

I've played the hell out of it and love it.

Is MR on par with it?

Completely different games in almost every way

This game uses personas calender system and while it is turn based it uses SMTs push based turn based style

Its a 10/10 game though dont get me wrong just dont expect clair

If you have never experienced turn based much and more specifically persona/smt turn based i highly recommend you dont play on hard

You will have a ton of questions. Just ask

This game is a bunch more generous than persona games when it comes to the calender system in terms of doing everything in one run. Priortize bonding episodes, on the gaunlet runner read the books

Its always a good idea to do the main dungeons all in one day if you possibly can. Kill without using MP as much as you can

You might want to go with persona 5 royal first as a warm up. It is a much longer game though

this game took me 80 hours the first run on hard, p5r takes me about 110 hours and iknow exactly where to go and what to do i imagine a blind run would top 160

P5 takes a lot longer to get going as well. It takes like 5-6 hours for the game to really begin this game is much faster from the jump

MR is more old school turn based so no parrying or dodging like E33. It’s solid, I just kinda lost interest in the story by the end. It’s not as dark/mature as E33, more anime style. I got stuck on the optional dragon super bosses at the end and never finished which is kinda shitty since I put 90 hours into it. The difficulty really spikes towards the end

Yeah Devourer of Stars whos immune to everything. I kinda cruised through the whole game even on hard but got to him and found that im completely unprepared. I dont think i have the right archtypes to beat it unless i do some kinda cheese like the Heismay accessory that allows him to dodge everything or the cook items that give you crazy buffs. Plus i had lost interest in the story and E33 was getting ready to come out so i just never went back

One thing i did hate about the game is how i was always starving for MP and you cant buy any items that refill MP, you can only get them from battles or find them in dungeons. Once i run out of MP im fricked

That fight is all about flipping his damage back onto him. I could give you a breakdown on how to do it without stating it plainly so you can give it a go with proper knowledge of how you’re meant to win it. It’ll have to be in an email or something though because it will inevitably spoil things for tide

You likely have the archetypes needed

id be curious to see your opinion on it.

CE33 is a pretty unique game. I think it hit a wide appeal.

Metaphor might be a lil more niche.
