Medieval 2: Total War

I've picked this game up and put it down about a dozen times over the years but I finally sat down and did some research on how to optimize and now I'm loving it. Might get me to play some other Total War games once I give this one a few runs.
For example, I used to always say "frick the Pope" because he'd stop me from waging war on those who attacked me, but now I realize how bad me getting exocommunicated fricked me every time. No wonder I was always the target of everyone in Europe.
Not to mention proper order of buildings.

I never played it when it was new. I got it on my phone not long ago and enjoyed it a lot.

For those who don’t know, Medieval 2: Total War came out on IPAD recently and is a lot of fun. Probably my favorite in the series.

This is the GOAT Total War game. Something has been missing from all Total War games after this one.

Always loved this game, but preferred the original Rome: Total War slightly

I learned some of the cheats so I could counter the built in AI cheats.
I have yet to start any other Total War game.

Are there cheats in the OS version? I might do a cheater's run at some point just because the AI pisses me off so much. The only thing that really gets me is other countries waging war then when I start fighting back the Pope makes us stop.

There are cheats for the PC version of the original version of Medieval 2: Total War. Let's you create coin, place units anywhere you designate, etc.. Can trivialize the whole thing if that's your goal. I just used them to counter the outrageous spawns and growth rates. Been a year or 2 so would have to google them again, may be in the Steam discussions???
