I just assume, or hope, that most people on this site are nothing like their message board persona.

I don’t really feel like anyone had a persona other than shite talking troll. For the most part I believe everyone knew it was just fun and games.
It was a CoD SnD lobby except you faced the same guys every day for years….and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
I wasn’t a “fan” of sweat, noz, I think Bruce may have played for the other team at one point but some of the best gaming days of my life included those 3 shite heads in my squad.
Those other gaming days were gloriously filled with idiots like bubba and that one dude named Mear that makes me question my sexuality. African Americans like MJ and many more!
I’d jump in a squad with anyone….even AntiheroAZ. I wasnt a “fan” of him on here but we played quite a bit of Ghost Recon with each other and just chilled.
The world could learn a lesson from this place.

And maybe I'm remembering this wrong, but I recall we had a lot of elaborate design ideas, one was pixelated font, and eventually Chicken came in and said "look you dumbasses, you can pick a color and maybe add one extra item, stop over complicating this"

Thinking back on some of the other regular occurrences on the GB besides the clan war/TOTD threads:
-Croacka's e-peen BF3 thread, where I think he would post a weekly update of everyone's PPM
-we found a site that showed how many times someone posted during the week on a given message board, so that would get posted in an effort to shame posters for having no life
-Sarge
-that stupid Batman thread
-E3 threads
-Black showing up and immediately getting shite on by the rest of Da Clan
-Antiheroaz
Not GB specific, but I remember being at work and watching stout stream Borderlands 2 the day it released....in 2012.

I’ve read some of my and others posts from those days.
Pretty cringy honestly. We were grownups already but talked like my middle school aged kid does now.
Still wouldn’t trade it though. Those were some good years. Still keep in touch with quite a few people and would like to hear from some others.
Haven’t heard from Lew, Penn, smoke, toula, paps, danimal, rondo…in quite some time. Sure I’m missing a few.

Lew emailed me back the other day. Didn't hear from Paps or Black. Not sure if Danimal or rondo were on the list. Honestly, I couldn't remember who all on the list were. I've seen some posts from donrandomnumbers but not often.
Coolsidedpillow emailed me back. He was same as you. Living life, no next gen gaming.
