Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

From the gameplay trailers I’ve seen, it looks like a cheap replica of the Arkham games. Open-world environment, side-quests, non-linear gameplay, etc. I just don’t know how I feel about this one. They blatantly ripped off the gameplay style from the Arkham games and it’s super obvious.
I don’t really think it’s gonna hold up well compared to the OG Lego Batman. The default co-op style gameplay with linear levels was addictively fun. And not having any voice dialogue for the characters added a cartoonish vibe that made them feel more like the comic book characters they’re supposed to be.

And… the Arkham games were awesome. Some of my best memories in gaming come from that series.

The original Lego Batman game from 2008 was always my favorite. It was basically a love letter to fans of the Burton films.

The combat in the original Lego Batman was repetitive and amounted to just smash punch.

I just bought it and am about halfway through
The gameplay itself isn’t bad but holy shite the dialogue is absolutely awful at times. It’s not even the lines themselves, it’s that they picked some terrible voice actors and actresses who have no business doing voice over work
The voice acting has been so bad in some parts of the game that it just makes them straight up unplayable.

I picked this up a couple of weeks ago. This game is fun and hilarious. If you're looking for a good change of pace game that isn't overly challenging with some cheap humor, this is the game you want. It's a good puzzle game that isn't overly complicated and great for unwinding at the end of the work day.

The best part is that it focuses on the movies this time instead of the comics
