Of course this game has "Let it go” in it.

Frozen is only the biggest Disney movie ever, definitely in the modern era at least.

I haven't got to Aranendale yet though, Can't wait.

Alright, I have to say, maybe I don’t know all there is to know about the fighting system, but it is bad.

Dodge is abysmal and my biggest complaint.

Some of the huge enemies are terrible when it comes to locking on to them.

Kinda disappointed in this game so far.

same. it's like there is some kind of input lag. same for blocking. i dont even bother since the game is so easy anyway.

I wonder if I am missing a bunch of story.

I have been skipping a bunch of cutscenes.

Getting really tired of how many there are.

Toy Box was definitely better.

ETA: and my god, the shipbuilder...the controls couldn’t be worse if they tried.

There is no way young kids could do that.

People downvoted my previous post that it is a disappointment, but this thread shows the general consensus behind it.

This game is a much anticipated title.

It has been out for about a week.

The thread on this board has under 100 posts.

To be fair the KH series is a niche audience.

There's not many Square fans left, and most of them bailed after FF15.

So you are taking a game geared towards kids and square fans (this is a Disney game, don't forget) and coming to a message board of LSU and Saints fans.

That demographic isn't going to be a lot of people. If you want the real reaction, go to the KH3 reddit or gamefaqs page.

I'm a square fanboy and will always be. I'm loving this game, but I can assure you, this game is for a niche audience, and the demographics are not people that watch NCAA and NFL football. People here on the forum that like the KH series are easily the exception to the rule.

I just left Toy Box, I'm having a total blast.

I can also tell you, this being on the Unreal 4 engine, has me VERY excited for the FF7 Remake.

Is KH3 some masterpiece? Not really. Too many cutscenes, not enough FF. But the secret ending addresses the FF part.

But damn if I'm not having a blast playing a series from basically 20 years ago and soaking it all in,

Not many games are going to live up to the hype after 13 years. Square keeps shooting themselves in the foot with the hype/development time.

FF7 is the next curlprit, it's going to get slammed esp bc of what game it is.

But damn if I can't wait.

Game dev might have passed square up. They are are a relic of the past, and I'm just glad they are still around.

I don’t ever lock on. Only time I have is when I fought the tornado or something where I’m not sure where the hitbox is.

Agreed, but like you I’m having a blast. The blast from the past and nostalgia makes this easily worth $60 to me.

It’s weird because when you think of KH you think of a complete game in terms of content, but I’m almost certain this will have DLC.

Yeah the subreddit hates the game lol. But this is something i’ve come to expect with the release of any Square game. Their fan base is the most ridiculous i’ve seen when it comes to expectations and new releases.

I suck at first person shooters, am decent but not great at RPGs. Is this a game I could potentially be ok at? I like the characters and story lines since it looks like something I could play with and in front of the little ones.

It’s can be pretty hard to die in this game so I think you’ll be okay. You can use potions early on, healing magic after you beat the first world, and your allies (Donald/goofy) will heal you when you get low. There’s also a move you can activate when your health/mp gets low that will refill your health and raises your strength and agility.

From personal experience, you can literally leave room, take a shite, and come back and you’ll still be alive.

Yea, I don’t see myself completing this game.

I just can’t get into it.

Characters are unlikable. Sora is almost as annoying as Hope from FF13.

Villains are numerous, all look the same, and are confusing.

Story is more fricked up than any Final Fantasy or JRPG game.

Battle system is repetitive and flawed.

The “gummiship” gameplay is boring.

And, oh my god, the fricking cutscenes. They should have just released a movie.

I’m honestly amazed at the 85% Metacritic and 8.7/10 IGN scores.

I would give it no higher than a 7/10.

IMO, this game received its ratings only because of nostalgia.

First time playing any kingdom hearts game, beat the game and still don't fully understand the story.

Do you just hate teenagers as characters? Because I know playing as a 15-16 year old is annoying for some, but just a pattern I noticed. If you don't like Disney characters either, I dunno if this is the game for you.

No.

I can’t think of any others that I think are terrible.

I’ve played many JRPGs and those two seem to stand out.

They could at least be humorous.

That’s one of the big problems as well.

The characters are just “off”. They try to combine drama with insane levels of happiness and a complete lack of humor.

Dont worry, it's impossible to know much going on if this is where you start the series

im hearing mixed reviews, but thats a squareenix norm by now.

IMO this is easily the best KH game by far too.

The combat is amazing, imo. The attractions look really good, I just wish that they popped up a bit less frequently.

I don’t play much during the week so I’m only at Pirates world. Hoping I can get complete most of the game and collectibles this weekend and start working on the Ultima Weapon.
