You don't need any backstory to follow this game. Yes it would help, but if you just go with the flow there's not much that really helps since there are alternate dimensions/timelines anyway.

Just enjoy the ride, it's fun as hell and the gameplay is legit.

That's all I needed to hear, buying now

I was iffy about how it was going to turn out bc of how ff15 went.

How so?

I thought FF15 was great.

The only people I know who didn’t like FF15 are fanboys of the franchise and think nothing should ever change. I enjoyed the older titles, but 15 was a breathe of fresh air, imo.

So far? Or is this a proven fact that none appear throughout the whole game?

I looked at the cast list. Not a single Final Fantasy character listed at all.

What the frick? It's out for rEAL?! I pretty much been busy haven't kept up with gaming news at all. I keep on seeing trailers for it but I don't believe it would come out until way later.

So damn nostalgic. I'm loving this game.

Had really good memories of playing KH1 back in the days and the first 2 hours of this game are phenomenal.

Gameplay is the smoothest it's ever been (in KH1 and 2 at least, can't attest to the others).

I'm a huge ff15 fan, all I meant was the ff15 Dev cycle and them just giving up this month on that.

I love ff15 and I love kh3

FF15 was one of my most hyped releases too. Nomura leaving it as director and getting replaced by that bum is what doomed it.

I enjoyed it, but I hadn’t played a FF title in years before it. It was a breathe of fresh air and I beat it before they updated most of the late game story that was pretty awful lol.

Did I fall to mention I love ff15?

But for real I just played an hour in front of my kids (5, 8, and 10, all know Disney and Pixar) and it had them captivatedm. Cheering me on, asking questions etc. Theres not many games that can span that generation gap, and also grip my wife. Truly a unique experience.

So glad that so far, the game is outstanding

Jesus Christ, there’s like 6hrs of shite to do before you get to play (if you watch the catch-up videos and do the tutorials)

Can’t believe KH3 gets all the OG voice actors to do this shite. James woods back as Hades is awesome

There are a lot of cut scenes but this game has been amazing so far.

I really want to complete this game but the dialogue is fricking painful as a 30yr old.

Game looks amazing though.

Can confirm painful for a 25y/o too. Gameplay should overpower it as it opens up

The dialog is a bit much, but mainly only Sora. He reminds me of Titus.

Because I mean when you have Goofy and Donald Duck in tow, not much mature dialog is coming from them

Sora is basically in permanent cringe mode like Titus and the infamous laughing scene though.

Meanwhile I'm zipping around in Flowmotion and using awesome carnival ride limits.

I said the same thing the minute Hades spoke. I think it's integral to the success of the series. Back when Robin Williams voiced Genie in KH1 for the first time, that was a gaming moment that stuck with me. Watching Aladdin so many times as a kid, once I heard the voice it transported me into that game world.

That's what this series is to me, it's my childhood in Disney mashed with my Square fanboyism since the 90s. It shouldn't work, but it does. It feels like a dream.

Also tip: turn the subtitles off in KH3. The dialog and animation/graphics are so good, the subs were taking me out of the immersion and reminding me it's a game.

Once I turned them off, the immersion went up 100x and the game now legit feels like I'm inside the Disney worlds. It's a huge difference.

I hope so. I enjoy cutscenes but jeez lol.

I also am not a huge fan of the new Gummi Ship levels.

Put some respect on Utada Hikaru's name. She's done the theme song for KH1, 2, and 3.
