Jedi Fallen Order is kinda... boring

I'm going to give it a fair shake and keep playing, but man the game feels like a copy paste of 3rd person adventure game tropes. Typical climbing and ledge climbing, along with nonsensical situations.
Not to mention having the least interesting main character ever. Dude is like a random generated background NPC.
That and stormtroopers rushing a Jedi armed only with a stun baton...that's a yikes.
I'm glad I "rented" the game via EA play for $5 instead of a full purchase.

Sorry dude, it might just be that these kind of games aren't my thing. The universe is cool, but it's nothing I haven't seen before.

Id like a huge open world star wars game. GTA style. Many planets. Many vehicles. Intense customization.
Id like multiple endings..you can choose your character in male or female, couple of main species..(Human, Zabrak/Dathomirian, Twi'lek, Tusken, wookie, etc)
You can lean more to the dark side or jedi through your actions (like the honor system in RDR), and that influences your abilities.
The different styles of fighting, and choosing your weapons based on this. Tattoos, hairstyles, clothes, modifications, etc.
I guess anything as epic as a star wars san andreas is way off.

I feel like the Kotor games are still the best Star Wars to me, followed closely by Empire at War (though only because of mods).

You wouldn't like to go to a detailed Tatooine and raise hell, then hit up Coruscant for a little entertainment & purchases, meet up with friends on Dathomir, head out to Dagobah for crawfish and try to find some arse on Malachor V?

Ive been playing the game more this evening, and im starting to enjoy it more as the story is starting to ramp up.

I was giving you crap, but for a one off game it was not that bad.
I felt I was playing the Star Wars version of Tomb Raider. The story ends up being pretty good, but you are right on the game play. Needed more worlds or at least different paths on the worlds.
I did enjoy the light saber fighting though.
I hope Disney revisits some of these stories in a TV series or movie.

agreed that the overly repetitive puzzles made it awful. Could have been amazing.
Greatest thing that could have happened is my save file got corrupted trying to mirror hard drives. I wanted to finish for the storyline but it was just a hassle.

Sounds like GTA meets No Man's Sky (the Star Wars universe is VAST).
Not impossible, but such an endeavor would be massive. It'd make Skyrim look like a JRPG.

As technology progresses. Release it as an external hardrive "cartridge" with the Playstation 8

It has been 17 years, there are kids about to graduate high school that were not alive when it was released.
It is time Lucas to make a proper long immersive SW game.
