I am a fan of Ubisoft
Far Cry, Splinter Cell, Anno, and AC are among my favorite game franchises.
That is why I am so mad at how poorly they have operated the last 5 or so years

Huh? Do you also not know how a minor investment works? All Tencent did was give Ubi money to keep going as is. You should really read more before you post stuff.

Last I heard was a combined million units sold on PS5 and Steam. If true, that is a decent start.

It means exactly what I posted. Tencent gave Ubi an investment to keep going on those titles as is for years to come. Meaning new AC games, Rainbow games, and Far Cry games and from the same studios already making them.
Obviously you wanted Ubi to crumble and be sold off but that is now completely off the table and things continue on largely unchanged.

I mostly ignore this thread due to all the bickering, but Big Dan ran a video recently talking about the illusion of choice in the game, and it was fairly damning. Just nothing the player does mattering, at all. The narrative plays out identically, regardless. Which is pretty shitty.
