The one where you visit the Normandy crash site is a powerful, poignant moment.

I just got Overlord, Shadow Broker and Arrival to play this weekend. I need to beat the end game with my second paragon character. I am half way through with him. Already beat everything with my renegade.

I'm on my second paragon character as well... But I just started and have not progressed much because (as I said before) insanity is a bitch
. I've got a lot of work to do before ME3 comes out

Picked up me2 at GameStop yesterday since they only had 1 copy. Came home and downloaded me1 from marketplace. Couldn't remember what all I had done a couple of years ago so deleted old save file and just started over. Realized I was only a couple of hours into it originally and think I traded it in then cause I was playing fps and sports more then. Umm just got accepted into specters and already wishing I had never traded it in lol. Already can see why they have all won game of the year and am sure it just gets better from here

Also guys, be sure to beat the DLC before you do the final missions. I remember hearing that all your decisions are imported when you finish the game, and the ones you do after the final missions (where it places you right before the final battle after you beat the game) are saved but not imported.

Just finished the Shadow Broker DLC and it was well worth the money.

Well that's dumb I beat the game in a few weeks so then all the dlc takes place after The final mission.

Might consult the internet on how that works, but I'm thinking it creates a one-off import file after the game is beaten.

I'd need to see some proof to believe it, that'd be a pretty giant oversight on their part. Think about it, they release Arrival but in order for your decisions in that dlc to have an effect you'd have start a completely new game. Doesn't make much sense.

As long as they get rid of the got damn planet scanning I will be happy.

If a player beats Mass Effect multiple times on a single Shepard, either by saving and re-loading or by starting a new game plus, each "victory" will be a separate Shepard that the player may import to Mass Effect 2.
I'm taking this from the ME wiki, but that is the way that the import files worked going from ME1 to ME2. It takes your Shepard at the moment you beat the game and creates a import flag, exploring the galaxy instead of doing NG+ might not work that way.

I know it's a money grab but there is DLC that will let you change your choices in 1&2.

Don't be, everything but Overlord happens in canon anyways. Liara becomes the Shadow Broker and Shepard blows up the relay regardless of whether you play it. I'm willing to bet that if Overlord has any effect in ME3, it will be minute. The way I look at it is the DLC is a way for you to experience the events that happen anyways, so there will be some references in ME3 you would catch (and maybe even some dialogue options) if you played it.

There is a non-spoiler video on IGN about the new scanning mechanic. You run around systems and "ping" trying to find quests and such, but you can only scan a system so many times before the Reapers start chasing you and force the ship to leave the system.
