These really aren't your standard RPGs though, I suggest you at least give them a shot

Oh I know. MY IRL best friend loves Mass Effect. I've watched him play and it wasn't for me. I played Knights of the Old Republic for a bit at one time too and when I hit the pause button or select or whatever brought up the "player", I had darkness around him. I am a dick in those type games and from what he says, it hurts me because "nice" guys are easier, but I know I am never going to finish so I do all kinds of dickish stuff

For anyone on the fence about playing me2 again before me3, or getting the dlc, frickin DO IT
I had recently played ME2 again, but I hadn't gotten the DLC. You guys motivated me to get it now.

Yeah man this ain't a standard RPG really...

Lots of assault rifle/shotgun/sniper rifle battles, fast paced 3rd person shooter. Gotta take cover, shoot, duck into cover and reload, switch up ammos, etc

Oh I know. I watched my friend play, but what made me not like it was the involvement with going to a planet or moon or anywhere else and deciding what crew to take and who would be best and upgrading certain aspects of Sheppard and the others...I just want to hit the right trigger and shoot.

Yeah brah, this shite is fun. Getting me amped up for me3 that's for sure. I forgot how involved the gunfights are...first shadow broker agent with a gun I met instantly reminded me though

I hear ya. To each his own. However on lower difficulty levels you don't really need to min/max your crew and do all the customization with loadouts... Just pick your favorite gun and fire away.

But on the highest difficulty, yeah, the character and squad customization is imperative to survival.

For real. I love the challenge and all, but, I'll wait for my 2nd playthru of me3 to bump it up to insanity.

You get flanked for 2 or 3 seconds, dead or let one drone get by, or one flashbang... A little too intense for me but hey, its called insanity for a reason

I might give it another look then.

Yea, you really don't need to pay much attention to your teammates's skills at lower difficulties. When I recently played through it again, I went for speed and just let my teammate's level themselves up. All I had to do was worry about Shepherd.

Kind of off topic, but has anyone just flown off into space and lost all of their fuel? What happens?

I've never done it.

It takes some of your resources and warps you to the nearest fuel station I believe.

I'm about to quit reading this forum until after ME3 comes out.

Not liking the negativity.

I cannot wait to see the BSN reaction to the endings. I'm thinking a 7.6 on the Richter scale.
