Please tell me. I feel it's criminal I don't have that platinum and it's going to bug me until I die.

ETA I was trying it with sanctuary hills, so maybe that's too big for it not to be a headache?

agreed, the Junkyard was sad.

every vault had a fricked up story too. especially the one with all former drug addicts, and then drugs were released to the population to see how the inhabitants would respond

hint: wasn't pretty

you decide to get it, make sure you get mods. Mods make the game much more interesting.

I guess I should have made this clear, I would play it on PS4. There are not mods for this are there?

Appreciate the responses thus far.

You said you didn't have the right perks to get it last time. You need to be able to build a tier 3 restaurant, the one that costs 1500 caps.

With 2 people you need two beds in a covered area, a water pump, food for 2 people, and a few turrets. You technically don't need to plant food or build a water pump if you keep the workshop stocked with food and purified water but that's a lot more work. I've seen different ways to do defense but I think the minimum is settlers + food. Anyway plant your crops, assign one person to the food and one person to your tier 3 restaurant. That's all you need for 100 happiness.

You can buy mods through the creation club. There's new quests and weapons and armor there too.

I found all of them in 4. Was kind of disappointed that there weren't more. But the back stories were good.

After that noclip documentary on Bethesda, I'm determined to find the Gary vault in 3.

I wasn’t even going for the trophy, I was in Diamond city came across Sheffield, felt sorry for him, gave him a nuka cola and sent him to my base at Hangman’s Alley. I was playing survival mode so I had a lot of meat stored in the workshop, needed something else to supplement my diet with, that’s another reason I chose Sheffield, he could grow muttfruit for me, so I set him up and three hours later, I’m off sneaking through Quincy killing gunners and bam I get the achievement.

I never looked into buying any mods, but I think a good amount of them are free. You'll just get the warning that you won't earn trophies on that save file if you enable them.

the game is certainly good without mods. mods definitely make it better, but the base game+dlc is just fine by itself . imo

I say IMO because most fallout fans have their own ( very passionate and personal) opinion and i don't want to speak for others

That's right. I needed to level up 3 more times to get them and I just didn't have it in me to go grind.

Still, I was finding all kinds of different theories on how to get to 100 so I wasn't prepared to invest in that one if I wasn't certain it would actually work.

Bookmarked. Looks like I'll be firing up the PS4 again soon

If you really want to figure out your happiness and have a lot of free time check out Oxhorn's happiness calculator LINK

He's got links to his happiness videos on there too. He is a great source of Fallout information in general.

Are there any mods on PS4 that anyone would recommend?

if there is one that eliminates carry weight capacity, get that.

Workshop anywhere: Create a workshop grenade at chem station and throw it anywhere to setup your own private base. The game won’t consider it as a settlement, so you won’t be able to have any settlers, companions, etc stay there, It’ll just be for you to use.

Scrap that settlement: Works really well, can scrap mostly everthing from a settlement and give you much needed crafting materails such as alum, rubber, etc.

That’s just two of the ones i use but there are many more good ones.

Again, a reminder that if you use a mod, you won't be able to earn trophies.

Couldn't disagree more. The main story was weak and all of the factions were weak.

If you like exploring and base building, this game can take 100s of hours.

If you only like main story, this isn't a solid game. All of the factions are dicks.

I'm 50 hours in at the moment and I haven't started the main quest. I put 400 hours in when the game came out.

Just depends what type of game you like.

You absolutely need to mod it. You need to get the minutemen mod that pretty much keeps Preston from bugging the crap out of you every 3 minutes with new radiant quests and it tones down the number of settlement attacks.

As weak as the factions are, this is still one of my favorite games all time but I love survival base building free range exploration games.
