Might have to give it a shot then. Though the setups from setups4iracing have been pretty good for me so far.

I've gotten to where I don't like fixed series racing. I tried one from some guy's site in the UK this morning and didn't care for it. Craigs setups. Went back to the setups4iracing and it drove like a dream. It was my 1st race ever at Chicago and I was running down 1st place until I made a mistake and lost it. Managed to come back from 16th and a lap down to finish 8th. Had a green white checkers and blew about 4 or 5 of them out of the water.

It just depends. I’m sometimes in top split in fixed so it makes it tough but open is a different animal. At least in fixed, it takes skill to be up front because no one has a set up advantage. I’m not good at setting up the car so open scares me. Lol

The fixed cars are just too stiff and tight to me. I don't know how the setups I'm using will translate to cup and Xfinity but they seem to hold their own in trucks at least. Plus the races are double length, which I like. More SR and time to recover from a mistake.

Hey guys I’m back checking in, sounds like you two have been having fun racing. I just got out of the hospital, my hand ended up getting infected and the infection spread in to my bone so they split me wide open. I spent 5 fricking days in the hospital while they grew samples of bacteria from my bone, sounds like a bad movie? Now that I’m home I still have to have this special antibiotics and it has to be administered by IV, so 4 times a day I have to hook up to an IV bag and mix my medicine in it. They put a temporary pick line in, so it’s not hard just pain in the arse. My left hand has about 10 to 15 stitches but I can still drive. Haha.
Hope to practice some Chicagoland in Xfinity and do some C trucks if possible. When I came out of surgery my entire hand was wrapped up with just my thumb sticking out, the nurse said in recovery I asked the surgeon what the hell was I supposed to do with this while holding my hand up, told him how in the hell did he expect me to drive my race car? He thought I was talking about a real one. Oh well. Good luck in your races guys.

Thanks man, just my way of getting through life, you know you see the fork in the road and one sign says easy fast path, paved for your convenience. The other says enter at your own risk, uneven road with hazards. I somehow always end up on the hardest road but I get to where I’m going just a little beat up but stronger.
It’s something that my friends and I just laugh at anymore, nothing is unusual.

Ditto that.

On the truck Chicago front, the setup I'm using just turns into a plow after 20 laps. The crazy thing is the tires still show a decent amount left. I can't figure it out.

So pocono is brutal. I've run into the problem that now I'm racing in trucks and Xfinity cars that are above my abilities. Not good. I'll just keep plugging along and hopefully get more comfortable as time goes on. Kind of would like to go ahead and clear A class for the sake of it, but I know how bad I'll in those cars.

And as a result my IR is down to 978. Pitiful. At least my SR is still B3.50.

I have taken a beating at Pocono in both Xfinity and Trucks. I haven’t had a problem qualifying or running up front, but with all the cautions and restarts bad things happen and it only takes a couple bad races.
I think my IR is back up around where you are now, my SR is down to 2.6 or so. Like I said I have taken a beating.

Learned to love pocono the past day or so. Just posted my first truck series win ever there. This next track looks awful though. Ran a few practice laps there and it's rough.

I haven't ran any C trucks in two weeks. I'm not buying anymore content for a while. It got crazy there for a while.

It sucks that this season is one that I don't own many of the tracks.

Well I own every cup track now, so I'm pretty well set. It was expensive as shite though.

That’s probably the best way to go if you can afford it to be honest. I have realized I can afford anything I want for iracing, it’s just that little voice I call be sensible that try’s to prevent me from doing stupid stuff. Anyways this update is right after Xfinity Kentucky, very frustrating track for me because I finally got my VR cable in and was able to run the final race in VR and the difference in my driving times and tire heat/wear was like night to day. The track in VR was not as dark either and that seemed to help but I could see entry into turn 3 so much better that not only did my speed not drop but I was saving my tires especially on longer green runs. Long story short with @ 25 to go we went green to the end. I started that in P15 and with 3 laps left was P2 closing on the leader, I would have caught him but got tangled up with a couple of lap cars fighting for position and hit the outside wall pretty good. I finished P8 limping around the last couple of laps. VR makes a huge difference to me, but that’s me and not everyone else.
Now we are flat track racing at NH and my first race was a horrible, from being disqualified in my qualifying run and not sure why (3 others had same thing happen) to trying to dodge a wreck on front stretch and spinning by pit road then getting black flag for speeding (they need to fix this as this has happened to me several times) it was all pretty much bad. Oh well on to next, good luck in your races gentlemen.

I haven’t run another race yet but have put some time in testing and practice. I have got my braking points down and can run some consistent laps without falling off too bad, so I am looking to jump back in on some racing later today. I need to get a few in because my hand is giving me trouble and at the surgery wound the at home nurse was cleaning the area and broke the scab and well blood was not all that came out. It looks to be infected again, so Monday I meet with the surgeons again. How anything can be infected with all the antibiotics I have been on is crazy, so hopefully it’s just something minor. If not I may not be racing for a while.

Man that doesn't sound good. You may end up with a PICC line and some IV antibiotics. Hopefully it heals and clears up though.

Ended up liking NH. Can run some decently fast laps. Haven't won but have ran top 5 a ton.
