Your build looks solid though
Yes it does.
Hardware is in a great state for the buyer ATM. Developers haven't caught up to the capility of new hardware.
Makes purchasing a budget build feel like you built a high performer.

COOLER MASTER
Cooler Master and ThermalTank make the best cases. Simple, cheap, well built and very efficient at getting hot air out.
ETA: This is my exact case.

I found that case on Best Buy for $50.

Where is the cheapest place to buy a stock/normal Asus laptop?

All of my parts should be on my doorstep by tomorrow evening.

I got the PC running last night. I had no idea Skyrim could look so amazing.

about to pull the trigger on buuying my parts, curious if you are satisfied with your new setup and any suggestions on parts you would swap out if you could?
Thanks
Thanks

The stock cooler should be just fine for that processor.

I love it. It has run everything I've thrown at it in ultra settings in 1080p without getting uncomfortably hot. I'm just using stock cooling, and the highest temp my graphics card has hit is 73 C and my processor has hit 62 C. With most games maxed out, my graphics card runs in the mid 60s and the processor runs in the mid 50s. I didn't get the case in the OP; I got the Cooler Master HAF 912 someone else suggested. Here's the hard drive and optical drive I got:

The one thing I might change if I were to build it again, is that I might have gotten an i5 for an extra $80. Honestly, I don't think there would be much difference, if any, for most games right now, but I think more games will utilize quad-core better in the future.

Just a little worried about the putting the processor to the board, never done it before.
Also gonna go with your suggestion of the 560.
Those look like two nice choices.

I wouldn't go with a microatx board unless you're case restricted. I just like the flexibility that a full board offers.
also, if you're buying your processor at a microcenter, they usually have a deal where you get a good discount when buying a motherboard with it. I'd look into that.
