The reason ppl are giving you crap is because you are writing a one sided story of crap. The fact that you've only tested 2 logitechs and 1 steelseries, then now ordering a pair of Astros say a lot.

Maybe it is us misunderstanding you for painting the walls with TBs and writing off others. Sorry if so.

Pretty good guide. I may just buy the mix amp and then a headset.

Don't waste your money on a mix amp, buy a DAC or an amp and then get a pair of HEADPHONES

Sorry for not having every headset ever made available at my disposal to test.

Jesus Christ. God forbid I have a good experience with a pair of TurtleBeaches.

I think in the sub $100 and $500+ range it is but for in the $150-$400 range Beyerdynamics and Audio Technica seem to dominate those price points.

writing off others
I don't exactly consider trying every brand I could demo personally as writing off others, but ok. I wanted a better headset and actively searched for one with an open mind, but was surprised with how well my current TB's help up compared to what I'd tried so far and made a thread. Then get royally fricked in the anus by audiophiles.
