Where I just play games very badly. I mean who doesn't want to watch an old guy play terrible right? What's my earning potential for this? If I can side hustle it right now and then turn it into the real deal that's what I want to do

well, there is a FatherSonGaming Twitch channel where the son has got to be in his 30s and the dad in his 60s.

besides being "bad" what else are you going to do that will set yourself apart from the rest?

if it's Call of Duty.... GOOD LUCK!!!

your best bet is to start on YouTube, learn the algorithm, and build your following there. then move them to Twitch when you go live. or keep them on YouTube and go live there.

go to Fiverr.com and hire someone to edit your videos for you.

Are you funny enough that people will gravitate to you and enjoy watching you for hours? Honestly

Are you able to stand apart in different games/genres? As another call of duty streamer you probably won’t make it competing with established members and paralyzed mouth guy. As a one off fantasy 4 niche streamer you may have a chance though.

Not trying to discourage you but it is really hard to get a successful stream going in general, be it twitch or youtube. Add in the content being gaming and it is even harder because a lot of people do that. I think if you want to go that route it will need to be some game that not many people stream but has a lot of popularity, or you need to be crazy good in something competitive, but regardless it will be an uphill battle on building an audience.

Also, and don't take this in a negative way, you will need an entertaining personality. You may have that but will it translate to good interactions with the few people who may pop by on your stream? Will they keep coming back?

I really think the easiest way to build a streaming platform built around gaming is commentary, and even that is going to be a hard feat. Once again I am not trying to discourage, just advising you that it will require a lot of time and nothing may end up coming of it.

When it comes to streaming I think youtube has the most potential. Maybe its just the people I watch, but the monetization and superchats/stream lab chats seem like they would be better. I know that Geeks & Gamers have more people watching their gaming streams on youtube than twitch. I think a lot of the people that watch the commentary are going to be more willing to hang around on youtube (or rumble) than switch over to twitch.

95% of Twitch streamer have less than 5 active watchers at any given time. It's an incredibly top heavy setup. That being said, if you're already gaming then there's no harm in streaming, just expect to do it for no one but yourself possibly forever.

The only quick way to an audience is being half-naked and hot, otherwise you have to be incredibly talented and engaging and even then still slog your way to even a tiny audience.

Social media has made everyone think they can do this now. I wish i could but i have a dull personality and no one would want to watch that. I also suck at video games
