I traded in PS4 for Xbox 1S

I had a PS4 and I was in the market for a 4k Blu Ray player so I decided to trade my PS4 in for an Xbox 1S since it was a console that had an ultra HD player. I can say that I am a bit disappointed in the game play. Maybe it's the title I'm playing (NBA 2k18) but it seems a bit laggy compared to the PS4. The framerate just doesn't seem as smooth on the Xbox 1S. Is there possibly a setting that can fix this issue or is it just a hardware issue and I bought an inferior console when it come to framerate?.......or is it possibly just the game? Thanks

I get that. I don't game a whole lot, like I said I just wanted the 4k player and liked the XB1S for it's all in one capabilities. Kinda disappointed in my decision though. How much superior is the XB1X??

They should run about the same. If they arent then thatd be on 2K. I looked for comparisons but everything is focused on the X v Pro.
There will be games that sometimes run better on one vs the other. Right now the X is outclassing everything but high spec PCs.

upgraded to the one x from the one s. the games that are available for up converting look great. the games that are available in 4k, like assassins creed, are amazing.
there is really no comparison between the s and the x.

I have both. With the black Friday sales, I’ve repurchased a bunch of titles. Honestly, I’m not very impressed by the x1x from a gaming standpoint. My hopes were high to see what tomb raider and the division would offer, yet I can’t really tell the difference with either. I have ghost recon downloading now. Hopefully that enhanced version is a significant improvement.
However, I find the video apps significantly improved from the ps4pro. I always had issues with UHD playback. To this point, I haven’t had any of those problems with the x1x.
I also find that I like the Xbox controller better than sony’s, and I suspect I will be even more impressed when my elite controller arrives. I haven’t come to a conclusion regarding the UI. I suspect I’ll like x1x’s better when I get familiar with it.
From a compatibility viewpoint, I was caught off guard. I didn’t realize my A50 headset wouldn’t work with the x1x. I also didn’t realize how many wires the “wireless” headsets all seem to have.
Hopefully then xim4 will work (and xfer back and forth b/w the PS4)
FYI, I’m using a Sony xbr65930c as my display.
