When I used to play WWII games on a PlayStation or Xbox years ago I always enabled the cheats God Mode and Unlimited Ammo. I NEVER played multiplayer because 1. I was never interested in multiplayer and 2. Multiplayer game play from the YouTube videos looked way too fast.

I used to love to enable cheats in single player because I really did enjoy doing a slow leisurely tour of the game. Fully appreciating the game design and exploring.
It seemed in multiplayer you were hauling arse all the time.

I haven’t played in over 10 years but now because of health issues I don’t get around as much anymore. I’m interested in getting a PS5 at some point and want to be able to hack or mod or enable cheats somehow but I understand on the consoles that is very difficult today.

Can anyone guide me to where I might be able to get help in this area? All I can do is swear a blood oath that I will NEVER engage in multiplayer ever. This would be single player only.

Nearly every modern game has an easy/casual/narrative mode. Use that.

Console hacks are shitty and will probably get your console nuked from orbit.

you have to subscribe to these things now. they're no longer free.

and most "glitches" don't really exist that much anymore. i remember rocket jumping out of the Crossfire map on CoD4 and a buddy of mine actually made it to one of the top floors of the tallest building on that map.

you want to be able to do all that stuff? you're gonna want to get a PC instead as it's easier to "hack" than a console.

i dont know why you think youre gonna get yelled at. console single player cheats dont hurt anyone.

that being said, they really arent a thing anymore. like Josh said, most games have very casual modes now. more "story" modes, you have to try and die. you could probably put the controller down in a lot of them, go make a sammich, come back, and still be alive.

if you wants things for fun like god mods, clipping mods, etc then PC would be something you might want to explore. The mod scene in PC also can bring some cool/weird shite to the table.

If mods and hacks are your thing, get a good gaming rig instead of a console. I have a PS4 and XBOX One and they will be the last consoles I ever buy. You'll be surprised at how much more precise your movement/aim is with a mouse and KB. Plus, PCs allow you to roll back the clock and play older games that I still love to this day. (Example: Quake III Arena.)

Amazon
Best Buy
Newegg

Look for a 3070 or better GPU (nvidia) or 6700 or better GPU (AMD).

The ASUS ROG STRIX 3070 prebuilt is pretty decent.
