I’ve always been a PlayStation guy, but I made an impulse purchase of an Xbox Series S about two weeks ago. Obviously the specs don’t compare to the PS5, however, I’ve yet to run into any issues as far as scaling or poor load times go. The ability to access such a huge library of games is fantastic. One minute I’m playing Halo Infinite and the next I’m playing Morrowind.

Microsoft knocked it out of the park with the series S coupled with Game Pass.

I can’t really compare the two because I only have the S, but it’s more than capable for most gamers needs. Especially younger kids.

Im a bit confused about this, do you have to pay for gamepass and xbox live? I know they have the gamepass ultimate but its $15/month. Seems steep. th gamepass for pc seems like a better deal.

Playstations library is pretty big too, you aint playing through all those games.

I have a PS5 and enjoy it as well. The game selection isn’t as good right now, imo. Game Pass Ultimate gives you access to Microsoft’s library on console and PC. Gold is included in all Game Pass plans as far as I know.

Love gamepass, makes me never have to buy another Xbox. Still need more first party and Bethesda new releases before I’m really wowed with it. Microsoft in my mind still has a first party release problem until some of these games start hitting, didn’t help that Halo didn’t catch on for me (or most for that matter).

Always check if a game is on there before buying it, still sometimes get them on Steam because of the Deck.

The problem is that GamePass PC ports are arse for the most part. All kinds of issues when compared to Steam/GOG versions

MLB 22 is actually super smooth on PC via cloud, definitely good enough to get my fix.

I had both of them at one point. The performance specs are better on the Series X, but I couldn't really tell difference between the two when playing them. I think it comes down to what your intended use for it is. If you're only looking to play Microsoft exclusive games, XSS is a solid option for that. If you want a disc drive, obviously you'll need the Series X. Don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Play sniper elite, or Guardians of the Galaxy. Both run like arse.

**edit, no man's sky also runs like a hot mess.

Gamepass for Samsung 2022 TVs is good, but they've been teasing full on Gamepass for Android TV for over a year and still nothing.

Between Gamepass and GeForce Now I'd be set.

I have played a lot of games on Gamepass that I would have never spent money on to try so that part has been great.

It makes me have a hard time spending $70 on new games. I generally wait for them to go on sale now if there is something I want to buy.

What? I wasn't discussing the quality. Is it a laggy mess?

Though I did run the side loaded app on my Shield and it worked well enough for me.

I don't play FPS deathmatch so not a big issue for me.
