Worth a download?

It has pretty good reviews, has anyone here played it?

Thoughts?

yes. environments are a bit samey and navigation can be a pain sometimes, but it's a well-made game.

I've tried to get into it a few times, and just can't.

it took me a while too. the controls are extremely tight and satisfying once you unlock a few things, so the combat is very crisp. i just wasnt a fan of the lack of environmental variety, and there is lots of backtracking (which i detest).

the fact that you have to use up a charm slot to be able to see your location on the map is probably the stupidest mechanic in the history of games.

definitely check out Ori and Salt & Sanctuary, I much preferred both

Gameplay is stellar. I did have to pull up some map help as I'm not very good at navigating in those type of games. Definitely worth it.

I really like the game's story, control, and environment.

You have a good workaround for the map and compass slot, just look it up on a PC.

I don't like having to retrack as far as I do for boss or sub-boss fights...or I wouldn't mind if I didn't deplete my health so much due to enemies between me and the bosses.

I found it a bit more frustrating than some did (it is really highly thought of in general).

It is a huge game for 15 dollars (or possibly cheaper), so if you care about value for money it’s about as good as it gets.

Some of the music is great, I liked the art style quite a bit, the gameplay is really good, and it starts to feel really good once you acquire a lot of the abilities.

The bench system (how you save), fast travel system, map system (both finding the map seller and the map charm), and amount of backtracking were all frustrating to me. It was more of a frustrating game to me than a difficult one, although it can be pretty difficult at times (I am not especially good at video games).

Still, I beat it (did not 113% it or whatever the percentage is now), so the good parts largely outweighed the bad.

Amazing experience. My favorite game in years except for maybe BOTW. Seems like you either love it or don’t though.

It’s defeinitely a game to get lost in the experience and beautiful art/music. It takes a little bit to understand WTF is going on (correction: Im not sure I ever understood WTF is going on ). Like others have said, it’s much bigger than it’s $15 price tag. If you’re at all curious, just buy it. Worst case scenario you’re only out 15 bucks

It's well worth $15. It's dark souls meets symphony of the night meets a bug's Life.
