I will say other than Owen her friends weren't really given much time to develop. I do hope the series can drive a bit more into them especially Owen since he seemed to be the most caring and rational person of the group hell he was the one person who was against hunting down Joel and saved Ellie and Tommy's lives.

And as I’ve said in this thread, I agree. I hate that game as much as anyone but after watching much much much more creditably edited cuts and some of the stuff that wasn’t needed removed (more of this was Ellie’s part btw dawgfan so don’t kill my dog) the story is much much much better

fricking pissed the multiplayer mode from the first game didn’t ever come to fruition in pt 2.
The multiplayer was so god damn fun.

Good god the first episode of season two is ABOMINABLE. First, it commits the worst crime a show can it’s boring. Joel is in therapy now. There’s two pro migration allegory’s. There’s a bunch of propaganda. Honestly irony strikes and Abby isn’t in the episode much other than the open, which was good showing her crew around the graves of people Joel killed before the time skip, was the only good part. They pussed out on killing Joel in episode 1, he probably dies next time. The episode basically ends leading back into Abby. It’s structured better than the game but awful

What in the frick are you talking about?
The only major differences from the start of the game are us knowing Abby wants to kill Joel, Dina and Ellie go on their run before the dance, and Joel is in therapy which given it's the apocalypse everybody probably needs.

I mean they kinda need to let the audience get used to the time jump as well as meeting new characters and understanding how fractured Ellie and Joel's relationship has become. Because Ellie gets the frick out of town right after he dies
