Yeah, I love this game. It is basically the way I always wanted to play Skyrim. Outcast/hunter stealth archer. Only here you actually have some semblance of character immersion. I like what they have done here. Playing on normal, but I guess I should up the difficulty.

Man, I'm behind. I finally hopped on the PS4 train, and was playing Bloodborne (frickING WOW), while you all were playing Nioh. I've got Nioh on the back burner for now while I play HZD. And I am very intrigued by Nier.

So far, this game has shattered my expections. I love everything about it.

It's just so smooth. From sliding to fighting to running to riding a strider, it's just so damn smooth/clean.

Enjoying the crap out of this. I re-visited the ruins you found as a child and found your focus. Pro-tip that took me way too long to figure out: you can smash the rocks blocking the way to hidden rooms with your staff. Not sure how long I looked for a hidden entrance.

Cleared the last corrupted zone. Two fricking Rockbreakers to take out. Mashing buttons so hard....

Hunting trials were surprisingly fun. The latter trials really make you figure out how to best use your weapons and skills. Pretty much learned how to pit machines vs machines and which ones you can knock off their weapons for your own use.

I'm pretty much done with just about every side mission. Just gotta find two power cells to get that armor in the All-Mother, but they're in locations that are story-related.

Meanwhile, my copy of BOTW sits unopened.

Is anybody reading through all the artifacts? At first it seemed jibberish (the metal flowers are retarded), but man it's really interesting now.

I liked the side mission where you find all the holographic look-out points. Nice personal story about what happened. But the main story stuff about Zero Dawn is fantastic. They did a really good job writing all that.

Faced my last different machine: Deathbringer. Not that difficult, but I think they'll be better iterations of it later. The burrowing rockfrickers and Stormbirds are the toughest by far.

I think I need to stop exploring so much and move the story and side quests forward. I'm level 38 and I'm still not at Meridian yet.

That was me, too. I hit level 50 and I hadn't even got to the mission about what Project Zero Dawn was really about. I'm pretty OP, but I don't care.

frick stormbirds, I was taking out some sawtooths for the hunting lodge quest and I just started getting owned. By the time I realized I was being attacked from above I tried hitting the stormbird and it two shotted me.

There's a main mission in which it's made very clear that there's "no turning back" aka finish your side stuff now...but that's not true.

It's just a really long mission. After, you're back in the game world and the main story is not finished. I thought I was at the end but nope. It felt like a MGS 30-minute codec call. A little tedious, but fascinating story.

Beat it. Platinum'd it, too, on first play-through.

Fantastic last few missions. Will hold off a bit on spoilers until others finish. Gonna take a couple days off before I jump into BOTW. Kinda open-worlded out

Picked it up yesterday and got through the proving and killed the first corrupter. I'm getting wrecked at times on Very Hard.

How do you make sure you don't miss the missable trophy?
