Anything new about this release?

Didn't gel with me at launch but I've since went back and played it and it's a great game. Should look amazing on PC.

Just that it includes all the DLC.
Interesting enough, it's releasing the same day on Steam as the Epic Games Store. Looks like either a) Sony didn't need exclusivity period money or b) EGS couldn't afford to bribe Sony.

It’s a marketing play for the ps5. The goal is to get pc players to want to play the sequel.

Just my opinion with the timing. I think it wants the new console buys more than the game sales.

I’ve grown accustomed to waiting a year or even more for some console games to be ported so in no way will I feel the need to rush out to buy a console for a sequel.
That said, feel free to release Bloodbrone on Steam for the marketing ploy, Sony

Some people may not want to wait.
Also this is the exception not the rule. Sony has not said they will release other 1st party exclusives going forward. Besides this and the Show right? Maybe they keep doing it but the timing is suspicious to me.

Sure. I remember the mentality that exclusive really meant "console exclusive" and I wish they would go back to that. The people that are really into PC or a console typically won't switch on a whim and that was seen with the failure of the Steam machines.

Indeed! It's one of those rare games where the combats are challenging yet extremely rewarding to win. Each one requires a strategy based on equipment and terrain usage, and in the end you feel like you truly accomplished something.
Too bad I never could finish the game though. My life is busy, so I never could dedicate the time required to successfully complete it. Too much time would pass between me playing at points, which caused me to have to relearn button patterns and equipment functions. It became a chore every time I would log in to play, and eventually I got exhausted with it.
To this day my 4yo daughter asks me to play the "robot dinosaur game." I haven't played it since she was 2, yet she still remembers and loves it. It was a great experience playing this with her enjoying watching me. She got a kick out of it every time

Yes, might actually finish now.

I'm looking forward to this. I have a XBox and PC, so I was a little jealous when this came out. Now I get to play it. Now I just need to find the time to play it. What sort of time commitment am I looking at?

To run though the story entirely it took me about 60 hours.
The story is really, really good too, and there's a good bit of side missions to complete as well on top of that

Picked it up about a year ago on a PSN sale for 10 bucks. Has the Frozen Wilds expansion too. Started playing a couple of months ago and am about 40% into it. I’m really enjoying it.
