re: Hardest video game to beat?

In the last 20 years it might just be Demons souls.

Devil May Cry 3. The game was so hard they had to release an easier version. Fighting Virgil at the end was near impossible.

That TMNT game is downright impossible. I tried so many thimes to beat that game as a kid and never even got close.

wasn't there something you could do in top gun to breeze through each level? something along the lines of flying with nose pointed straight up would avoid everything?

Contra isn't that bad. Once you've got the layouts memorized, it's not really that difficult to make it through without cheats.

frick the turbo tunnel in battletoads. That's another game I'll never beat. I've gotten through the turbo tunnels a few times, but the game is just crazy difficult in general.

i didn't find the game itself to be hard. just the fact that you start over - and lose everything if you can't get to your bloodstain - from the very beginning of the level if you die.

if you go back and play top gun now, its easy. i tried playing the other day and landed on the carrier every single time no problem.
