Maybe this one Freaxzen?
That's the one. That's another completely tough one.

Solstice is awesome. Equinox is just like it for the SNES, also very good but tough due to the weird isometric layout.
One word: StarTropics
What a fantastic game. It needs a remake or a sequel Great story, great game.

quote:Great game. Spent many nights going through all those caves solving puzzles and kicking arse with a yo-yo. And IIRC was one of the few NES games you could save your progress.
StarTropics
And there is a sequel.

First RPG I ever played. Those Slimes broke my spirit.

The original Dragon Warrior(Quest) is hard to play now. The grinding is ridiculous.

We have it easy for the most part today.
Plenty of old time games, death was it. Everything was hardcore mode.
You could play 11 hours straight and one bad move meant all the way back to start.
Yesterday, I was actually lamenting how easy most games are today.
Path of Exile, the final boss was more than I was ready to handle but all I had to do was respawn about 20 times until i finally killed it.
I dropped some XP on death but all you need to do is wait until right after you level up, then hit the boss. Too easy.
Not necessarily that all bosses are easy today, but in most games, you can save progress all the way up until the final battle so almost nothing is lost.

Games used to be shorter a lot too. If you know what you are doing you can fly through it. However you died so much that you never noticed how short many of them were.
