Yeah, honestly I think the multiplayer is great. The one thing I would change is the power weapon announcements, not a fan.

MCC was an absolute atrocity
I've only played it a couple of times. But playing H2 in HD was a beautiful thing, that is all I needed. Plus my understanding is that they ironed out all of the wrinkles.

That's funny I was in the exact same position when MCC collection came out, I was ready to write halo off. I have been playing halo since Xbox connect, but my heart lies with 3. I put a embarrassing amount of hours into that game haha. I had not played a game that matched up to the MP gameplay of 2/3 and this one ALMOST does. The only thing I would bring back is the 1-50 ranking system in some way.

My best guess is that while redoing H2. They figured out what so many people loved about the game, and tried to incorporate it in spots.
Because based on H4. They had no idea before the MCC.
What do y'all think of the main antagonist? If this arc ends with Chief putting a certain someone down..... Then again, it could end with the composer being used to turn digital data back into life, rather than the other way around. According to Greg Bear's books, it can do that.

I guess I'm in the minority thinking this game doesn't feel much like Halo.
This thread is ripe with intellectual dishonesty.
Nobody really thinks this game feels like Halo, but some will act like they do.
Doesn't mean it's not a great game.

I mean I think each game has changed some, it still plays as close to the first 3!that the other 2 have. Which has had me playing it like a fanboy again haha

Which baffles me, but very stoked they got this one right. The franchise was counting on it. IMO

I like how it tells you when weapons are up. In old games I would try to keep track of times and now I don't have to. plus now kids who used to not keep time are alerted and every weapon spawn has a battle for it.
That's what I don't like about it. Part of the key to early Halo games, was being able to control power weapons, which involved knowing when they came up. Announcing it just makes it a mad dash for a weapon, instead of actually coordinating efforts and controlling areas.
I'm not saying it's a bad game (well, the campaign is pretty bad because of how short it is), just my complaints. As of now, I enjoyed the 4 MP much more, but that's just me. ETA: this is all with a grain of salt, because the MP is pretty incomplete right now. Final verdict will come in December.

This is as "anti-Halo" a feature as any.
But you guys are getting to me, and I am getting more intrigued with each positive post I read.

It is but at the same time competitive games with guys who play halo as much as I do know when weapons spawn. And it still doesn't announce OS or invise.

This would be awesome if everyone used a damn mic and new how to coordinate

I refuse to go into party chats for this very reason. shite talking is half the battle. If you can enrage your opponent and get in their head it will take them off their game 9 times out of 10.

Ahhhh damn nostalgia feels real bad.

Seriously, if you are on the fence about Halo 5, get it. I had my Xbox One listed on Craigslist, Every local Facebook selling page, etc. trying to move it for the holidays, but I am SO glad I didn't. The game will take some getting used to (just like any other game out there), but it really is like riding a bike. You'll find your sweet spot with your sensitivity and you will completely get back into the saddle destroying kids. DO NOT compare this to MCC. MCC was an absolute joke and 343 has made TREMENDOUS improvement on how everything runs. Obviously games will still have issues, but the only one I've seen so far is completing a game and then it not counting at the end. Sometimes it's good (when you lost) and sometimes it's bad (when you won)

5 will make you forget about 3, I guarantee it. The more I play 5, the more I want to do nothing but play it. Like, I know I have obligations to work and family, but seriously frick them all...My wife needs to take the kids down to see her parents for like a week and I need to take leave.

Yeah the most I ever did was win a local game stores 2v2 to and 4v4 and we won a copy of reach for each lol
And yeah the halo 5 championships is a cool million dollar prize ??

I have my kids Friday through Monday, I've put 17 hours into it already, albeit I got it a day early Monday, but let's just say work has been brutal.

god the shite some people say is hilarious too.
it how we found people for customs and 10 years later are still "friends" with them
All of this. One of my better friends I met on H2. Best shite talker I knew, especially good at pissing people off to get in their heads.
Remember the feature where you could hear the other team's chat if they were close?
Welp, we were playing a team of black guys in team doubles. We always liked to camp to piss people off at the start. Dudes are already angry, then we hear one of them answer the phone and say his name. My aforementioned friend instantly said. "No! Yo name is Toby." Called him that for the rest of the game. The quips he threw out whenever he killed one of them were brutal. They were both so mad they were almost blubbering idiots trying to play.
I almost died laughing when he said it because I knew the effect it would have.
For the record. My friend was born and raised in New Hampshire. Not the south.
Point is, it's a mental game. Or something like that.

Y'all need me. The beacons of Gondor have been lit.
Take up a collection. Get me an Xbone and H5(and MCC).
We'll get the million. Let's do this.
Have y'all seen Expendables 3? Consider me Antonio Banderes' character at this point.
Geez I'm a nerd.
