Half way through the year. What is your GOTY so far and what do you predict it will be?

I believe most will say Resident Evil 2 Remake. I do think it was well done but I don't like searching around aimlessly. I still would like to play Devil May Cry 5, Metro Exodus, and Bloodstained.
I believe most of the games in the running will come from the back half including Borderlands 3, Outer Worlds, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Doom Eternal, Gears 5, and Death Stranding.
I think most will pick Doom Eternal and mine will be Star Wars Jedi:Fallen Order.

Metro or Resident Evil 2. Probably Metro. Down year for new games for me. I've been catching up on old titles.

I definitely agree the first half has been week, but the second half I would say is good. But doesn't have the God of War and Red Dead 2 titles.

I'm not really anticipating anything at the moment so not sure the second half will be better.
Outer Worlds and Borderlands 3 are all I care about for the rest of the year. They could end up on top by the end of the year.

Slay the Spire. Easily the most fun I’ve had with a game this year.
Other than that, it’s been a bit of a down year so far. I’ve played a decent amount of older stuff.
I enjoyed Resident Evil 2 and The Division 2. Steamworld Quest was solidly ok. I’m enjoying Super Mario Maker 2 but it’s not a GOTY for me.
Really want to play The Outer Wilds but I don’t have a PC or an Xbox. Also I should get around to Sekiro at some point.

So far Resident Evil Remake.. Looking forward to Control, Doom Eternal, and Death Stranding... but honestly I'm hoping Modern Warfare 4 brings it this year.

I hope it's not Resident Evil and that's only because it's a remake. There are plenty of original games that deserve more recognition

I predict Doom Eternal will also be incredible but I'll still probably give the nod to Sekiro because that genre of gampelay is my main jam.

My GOTY is a split between Total War: Three Kingdoms and Sekiro.
Still waiting on Doom Eternal and Master Chief Collection for Steam to make a decision.

I have seen others mention it as a contender as well.
There are a few games I think I will love but won't get reviewed well. Like Code Vein.
