Polish site PPE.pl reported in January that GTA6 would likely get a physical release later, potentially in 2027.

OK then. I guess I'll wait for that. Should also know if it's a good game by then.

Half of the people that have consoles don’t even buy the disc versions. The next gen consoles might not even have a disc option.

If you don’t want to order the game or don’t think it’s going to be good or don’t want this digital version, then don’t buy the game.

Yes next gen consoles will have a disc option.

Yes, that's what I said. Starting to think you work for Rockstar with how much you defend these indefensible actions.

If you don't buy the ultimate edition, you are locked out of certain side quests:

I"m not anti physical release, but at this point in my life, I'm not about keeping up with a bunch of discs that could potentially disappear because the 5 year old things it would make a good frisbee.

Certainly a possibility. I've just learned from digital movie releases that if you don't have a physical copy there is always a threat that what you have will cease to be accessible at some point.

This is a real concern, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it during the gaming apocalypse.

ETA Whatever you think about the Stop Killing Games movement, it's at least put that issue more in the spotlight to the point where these companies aren't going to midnight digital ownership so easily.

I don't work for Rockstar. You are just all over this thread melting about how everything that you don't like is a massive red flag. If you don't want to order the game, then fricking don't. It's not that complicated.

I will. But as you have previously stated, you don't care how I spend my money. So I'm not sure why you are responding to me about this.

Not picking a side, but content locked behind certain skews definitely isn't new.

It could be something as simple as Telltale Games goes bankrupt and then you can't access your digital copies of games anymore. Having the disc version of Minecraft Story Mode Season 2 is the only reason my kid can play that game.

I've been buying physical copies of Ubisoft games in preparation for whatever is about to happen with them.

From my knowledge, only the Resident Evil (3/7), a few Call of Dutys, and Uncharted LOT are games in my library that run at 120fps. Not a lot compared to a shite ton of games in my library that run at 60 fps or lower

I have an LG OLED TV that I got last year, so most games I have look gorgeous on it with just the base ps5. For instance, I barely know the difference between when I run Resident Evil 7 and when I hop on my online dynasty on CFB 26.

From my research, it wouldn't be worth it for me personally to drop an extra $400 and then another several hundreds of dollars just to get a slight upgrade on a select number of games, but I'm also and extremely casual gamer

I’m very casual as well, my library is only extensive since I have a ton of ps4 games on it because I was lazy to buy the ps5 equivalent (if they even released it) I stick to the games I know, but I’ve always been a GTA sucker. I’ve bought every one of them since 3 that dropped in 2001.

Regardless, I think I’ll still with my base ps5 since I the games I play run what they run. Thanks for the info Boosie!

Their library is way too valuable for them to be put on some virtual shelf. Someone will keep them available in some manner.

And I don't think Ubisoft is going away. Big changes are happening, but they won't cease to exist as much as some people here (not you) are praying for.

Never seen Rockstar do this with single player content.

Let me be clear. I do not care if you think I work for Rockstar or not. I do care that you are clogging up this thread talking about about stuff that you supposedly don't care about.

I don't care if other people buy the game. I do care about what Rockstar is asking gamers to accept.

I guess I'm getting older, because all I remember were cosmetic preorder items for RDR 2. That's obviously not what I'm talking about.
