Another thing to keep in mind is that the gaming industry and most tech companies went on a hiring frenzy during Covid as folks played a lot of games while being stuck at home. That hiring has been slowly unwinding over the past two years. That and the fact that many people especially younger gamers are just sticking with Roblox, Fortnight, GTA online, CoD, Fifa, Madden etc... and yet developers still keep spending ridiculous money on trying to lay that new live service golden egg and continually failing.

Going woke is just one part of many factors that are causing problems in the industry.
