Personally I think it’s a good game. It’s campaign is worth playing and the multiplayer is fun enough to keep me coming back.
The only part I don’t like is the loot crates. Wish they would go back to the old school call of duty progression system.

They really are. I appreciate the backlash regarding the progression system, but it doesn't completely ruin the game. Hopefully the negative press surrounding the lootboxes is enough for Dice/EA to eventually come up with a better progression system.

Secondly, I think people just really want a good single player game set in the Star Wars Universe. The last one I can remember was The Force Unleashed in 2009. Dice didn't do themselves any favors by marketing the campaign as having a focus on the Imperials whereas Iden swaps sides 3 missions into the campaign. Then you spend a handful of missions playing as the arcade-y hero characters.

I would like more game modes. We don't need as many as Battlefront 1 had, but I would at least like Turning Point and the mode to escort the payload whatever it was called.

Starfighter units in ground-based maps seem pointless. Nothing you do in a starfighter contributes to the objective in any meaningful way.

The arcade mode is completely pointless. I have no idea what is so hard with just giving players access to the same content as multiplayer only with bots.

I’ve been having fun with the campaign, hero vs. hero, and the glalatic battles

That game sucked arse. The campaign was like five hours long and you literally had to kill yourself to have any chance of dying. Your guy was so OP it was dumb.

If someone made a new KOTOR it would make bank and blow any other Star Wars game out of the water.

I remember playing it and not having a bad time, it just wasn’t a great game, IMO.

For a Star Wars game, it did. It wasn’t hard in any way. It was linear as hell as well.

That doesn’t mean going and killing things for 20-30 minutes at a time can’t entertain me lol.

It was like playing GTA if you could only drive straight on one road the entire time.

I miss the Rouge Squadron/Leader franchise, Shadows of the Empire, KOTOR, and yes I would even settle for another Force Unleashed style Star Wars game.

Unfortunately I am not sure what the likelihood is of us getting another high end quality Star Wars game.

LucasArts was acquired by The Walt Disney Company through the acquisition of its parent company Lucasfilm in 2012. On April 3, 2013, Disney halted all internal development at LucasArts and laid off most of its staff. However, LucasArts remained open so that it could retain its function as a licensor.

Development of games based on the Star Wars license will be carried out by Electronic Arts, through an exclusive license, for the core gaming market. Disney Interactive Studios retained the ability to develop, and LucasArts retained the ability to license the franchise for the casual gaming market. Development of video games based upon other Lucasfilm properties will now be assumed by Disney Interactive Studios or licensed to third parties

Battlefront 2 is a very streamlined, focused game. It doesn't try to do nearly as much as the first game, but what it does, it does extremely well. The maps in particular are incredible.

Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

People should be fired for not producing a KOTOR game. They are literally saying we don't want to make money. Imagine a star wars game with the scope of fallout...
