They have a good return policy.

I see no issue but woukdn't mind a little more quality control.

It wont

CD Project RED understands the PC gaming community.

Edt: but I honestly thought the devs who make the Metro series got us. Boy was I wrong.

Yup. God forbid there is competition in the industry.

The horror should Steam or a competitor get better from the competition and improve immensely in the future.

Exclusivity, either for a window of time or for the life of a game, doesn’t buy you much of a user base.

If your launcher software doesn’t offer as good of features as others, or is actively worse by infecting the computers with malware, all you are doing is blackening your brand name in the long run.

And not just a little bit.

Steam charges 30%

Epic 12% and they waive the 5% use of unreal engine fee if you use their store.

That's a pretty huge difference.

Netting an extra 23% per copy doesn’t help much if people won’t buy the game through that launcher.

You guys saying ppl are outraged like babies without understanding the reasons ppl are upset makes you look ignorant.

Also feel like consolers take voicing an opinion as outrage. Well it's not just consolers it is the youth of this country these days.

Real reasons why it's not good for the consumer exist. Listen to them and let us explain if you don't understand. It's not just a store.

You are missing a huge piece of that equation.

Lost sales.

And Metro Exodus sales prove it isn't a problem.

What about all the other games tied to exclusive deployment platforms like Ubisoft and Origin? They sure don't have a Steam problem.

Lots of folks like GOG. Not everyone is 100% tied to steam.

I would bet my house most of you whiners have bought and played games not on steam.

And you have zero idea of the size.

You and 5 other people on here don't equate to massive lost sales.

I can live with Ubisoft and EA selling things through their own store.

You make it, you get the right to sell it through your shitty storefront.

If they’re buying up titles for exclusivity it usually means they buy up the whole development house and not just the rights to that one game.

Yes, yes I do. Joking, sort of.

It already has though. They crack games in a crazy short time now. You can we easily download copies of AAA titles within the month of release. But you will be short of updates which can be game breaking over time.

So with the instability and lack of decent QA at Microsoft over W10 being so frequent it forces you to buy a legal copy.

It's not just about the store. Fckk.

Give us both options though. It's the Exclusive issue. EA sucks so no one cared. Now they are putting real PC games on exclusive stores like Metro.

We don't.

Yes I know but GoG works well with Steam.

Epic store does not.

Edt: The lack of understanding with comment from so many is very interesting.

Steam can only blame themselves.

When the noticed this happening they should of changed their ways, instead they continue to double down.

Giving the game creators more revenue should of happened 10 years ago. And now you have the upstart promising everything.

Let's also add, Epic will shield game creators from any negative reviews. A big circle jerk to make sure you buy the shitty game. Luckily, there is still twitch and places to actually see how shitty the games are.
