Regular price is $29.99 I believe. That’s what I paid for mine, but the only site I could find that had new ones in stock was b&h photo...however I just checked and their site says they are now out of stock too. I know amazon has some used & refurbished for sale. It looks like that Newegg set is from a third party seller out of China.

ETA: Here’s a link to refurbished set on amazon, but it shows there’s only one left in stock.

Just got the headphones in and listening to hi-res audio files, and they sound pretty damn amazing. Build quality seems really sturdy, and a well worth the $70+ purchase price. I’ve never been a big headphones guy, but they kick the shite out of the old Bose cans I have.

Will have to wait a bit for the mic to come in, but I’m really pleased with the headphones. Thanks again for the rec.

Since they're not gaming headphones I assume it has no software that you have to download? Or does it? I've never used anything besides gaming headsets and I'm tired of them. I just paid $63 for these Corsair Void Elites but I can return them through the end of May.

Just a general question about headphones...

I currently use a pair of Sennheiser RS 175s for gaming (I don't have a need for a mic with the games I play).

One of the reasons why I like them is because they're wireless and the base connects directly to the TV, so I can use them for PS4, Xbox, 4K dvd player, and regular TV.

Should I consider headphones that are meant specifically for gaming, as opposed to multi-purpose? My understanding is a lot of the top of the line ones are only PS4 OR Xbox, but not necessarily both*.

*I guess the Arctis Pro can be used for both if you connect them to the controller.

dont have to deal with any of that bullshite, you just plug em in and roll.

all in all, most "gaming headsets" other than Sennheiser are shite. much better off putting together your own high-quality setup for less money

Alright so a couple weeks in, and still enjoying them. I also purchased the more expensive fidelio x2’s to see if I’d enjoy them more, and somewhat surprisingly I think I prefer the more neutral sound on the shp’s over the x2’s.

I do prefer the aesthetics of the x2’s, and the build quality is definitely better, but the SHP’s hit a very sweet spot for me so I think I’m going to stick with them. Definitely a great value headset.
