I already have a 3070ti coming in that I would put in its place so I wouldn't need a replacement card

How much you looking to get blue? There are people here that might be willing to pay a decent price.

They drop every other week. Usually between Tuesday-Thursday. Didn’t I mention that in the OP?

3700X

This a good buy at $265? Saw some good deals on some SSDs too, gonna start picking up some stuff while I play the "can I get a GPU" game

Here's the other CPU's on Prime Day right now, for reference..or wait for 5600X at 299

I honestly couldn’t tell you other than the 5600x may be more “future proof” than a 3700x, but it may not be by much. Take a look at this comparison…

Someone may be able to correct me, but I want to say that one is driven towards games and the other is driven more towards workstations. I think the 3700x is more of a workstation cpu.

Sure so the same thing they’ve been doing for months now. No mention of window in your OP so not sure if this was a new system. Their current system is atrocious

I read that you want at least 6 core, preferably 8 when building now is the only reason I ask..or if any of the other ones look like a better deal?

Feels like card pricing is coming down at a decent pace. From May to June there has been a pretty big average price decrease for scalpers.

I’m trying to be optimistic. I would love to upgrade to a 3080 before Battlefield (likely the next time I’ll play consistently). Have a buddy that keeps an eye on the Nvidia store, but they haven’t restocked.

I'm in the market for a new CPU/Mobo, so I'll be monitoring this thread. I'm not looking for top of the line, but something solid that'll last me for several years. I'm currently using a i5-4690K that I purchased in 2015. Was looking at something like this: LINK

CPUs have become fairly easy to get in the last few months, both team red and blue. What kind of tasks are you looking to ask of your cpu?
