It's a good game, albeit terribly optimized from a coding standpoint

I'm playing through it now. I really like it once I figured out how to use the map.

it's a good, but safe game. mechanics, production quality, and presentation were all quality. story was sound.

biggest issue is the lack of rewarding exploration and the loathsome backtracking. working through previously explored worlds to pick up all those trash collectibles with that shitass map was an awful experience for me. you'll climb and jump and swim to the edge of a planet to find a chest, only to be given an ugly arse poncho or cartoonish ship color. all the collectibles sucked arse lmao.

there should've been some kind of meditation point warping after finishing a planet. everything felt padded and disrespectful of the player's time. add warping, better collectibles/incentive to explore, and more enemy variety, and the sequel could be great

Throw in regenerating enemies after every damn save point as well. Get your arse kicked by an enemy, but finally defeat him? Alright get to the save point, recharge, and get ready to move on... oh wait! What’s that? The same sumbitch who just went 12 rounds on your arse is waiting for the rematch!

Just let me force toss these assholes off the cliff and go on with my day. Tryna clap that weirdly sexy nightsister’s cheeks.

Well it sucks farts. If I leave the planet and come back, fine. But frick that shite added 3-4 unnecessary hours to the game. And I gave up on tracking down the ponchos and ship skins. The ponchos just looked stupid and why the hell would I care about the outside of ship when I looked at it for a total of ten minutes top?

They were all awful. I preferred to not have one.

I kinda liked some of the ship skins but yeah they're useless because you never see them.

God that was a nightmare.

I remember playing DOOM Eternal and Fallen Order around the same time, wondering who ask for all this lame wall grabbing.

I’ll give you that was easily the weakest part of the game. Absolute worst give us more variety in clothes, items to equip. We don’t. We’d that much variety on the same items (and most people probably didn’t even want a poncho.)

The ponchos look stupid.

I haven’t equipped any of them.

Idt they look that bad, maybe look better on PC?

The physics do feel "off".

But some dev no doubt loves them some ponchoes.

Extra:
Poncho Villa was a poncho fan? Living in Corpus made me realize how much Mexicans and Texans hold on to that war. They don't have pictures of the prez (this pre trump) but picture of Poncho Villa in every Taqueria.

My only critique of the story was that the hunt to get the jedi holocron to "rebuild the Jedi order" was pointless because we know that they would do no such thing at the end because of the original trilogy, and legends and canon as well.

They should've come to an agreement that rebuilding the jedi order was simply irresponsible at the time and the mission is simply about making sure the jedi holocron does not fall into the hands of the empire and then they would make a decision on whether or not to destroy the holocron or hide it in a place that the empire will never find. A mission of self preservation to make sure Vader and Palpatine doesn't corrupt any more force sensitives than they already have with the fallen Jedi that managed to survive order 66.

Cosign.

Fallen order was a good first effort for EA and there's a lot to improve on. It's similar to Arkham Asylum and how Rocksteady just upped its game with the sequel in Arkham City.
