Dragon quest 11 is like the epitome of your home or some place you feel safe and comfortable in JRPG form. It’s an absolutely amazing game that is over 110 hours long if you do everything in the definitive editions. It also proves turn based combat can still be viable and dynamic when done correctly. I also really love how they did difficulty in that game. Instead of just a easy medium hard selection at start the game starts on pretty easy the whole way and offers you like 12 modifiers in the definitive edition I think it was 8 initially you can pick and choose from to increase the difficulty. You can then remove then at anytime but they are gone forever from that file.

I disagree. I think this game is going to be absolutely fricking massive. They have been building it for how long? Let’s say 5 years. Much of the groundwork was already laid for them or was being laid simultaneously while they were in early development concept phases all by remake part 1. It’s the first ps5 game I’m aware of requiring 2 discs worth. Now I haven’t seen anywhere, and maybe someone can chime in and correct this if im wrong, but if that will be old school ps1 insert 2nd disc or like Red Dead 2 where one is just a simple install disc and one runs the game. Even if it’s the latter it still allows a massive game. I think the game is going all of the way to the northern crater with all that entails including all the playable characters.

What are you rambling about?
It was not an opinion. They stated he is not playable. Unless he misspoke in his interview.

Vincent Valentine’s brief appearance was an exciting highlight of the Rebirth story trailer at September’s PlayStation State of Play. We won’t reveal the character’s nature for newcomers, but he, like Yuffie, was an optional party member in the original game, so I asked Square if that would be the case again. Nomura confirms Vincent joins the group as part of Rebirth’s main story this time, but, unfortunately, he won’t be playable. Instead, the brooding warrior simply accompanies the party like Red XIII did in Remake. Nomura explains this is the case because, in the original, Vincent joins the party during the backend of the story. Based on that answer, it sounds like we won’t be wielding Vincent’s power ourselves until the yet-to-be-titled third entry arrives.

Nope. The groundwork likely came from FFXV and FFXVI. This is not a remake anymore, remember that.

I’m so confused as to why you are so adamant about this

Agreed. More of a re-imagining. I'm just looking forward to chuckling during the un-intentional comedy during the cutscenes.

Pretty obvious by now it's an alternate timeline and Sephiroth somehow knows about the "original" timeline.

I’m here and I’ll never be to the “it’s a sequel” point until the end and it’s clear. Or if a certain someone actually makes it past where they are supposed to die.

I remember reading the lost threads on this site and from that point on, internet speculation has always been meaningless to me

They're using the trickery to keep themselves from being 100% restricted to original storyline. Things may happen at different times, there may be fakeouts, there may be shuffled events - but I'm positive that all the same key moments will happen

There are some crazy theories about Cloud dying instead and Zack taking over in the party, all kinds of whacky shite. I just don't see it and will be shocked if they pull that. Would be completely embarrassing for Nomura and co. Who knows though, its the japs. Zack being alive is already a big curveball

Added theme song trailer to the OP

Get a few new things in this one. They show Cid and some good shots of Bugenhagen. Also a couple good scenes of Dyne and Dio. Last shot in the trailer looks to me like the infamous scene
