There is no escape brother
Every game made nowadays is either a walking simulator, a too hard to play simulator, or a get shot by 10 year olds simulator
Wish they had a be miserable and pay taxes simulator at least I might be good at that one since that’s what I do irl

Souls games are very unforgiving but if you’re willing to put in the time and understand the systems, I’d argue that they are more than fair. I’ve been playing these titles for years and most of my deaths after learning the ropes revolves around me experimenting with unfamiliar play styles or acting foolishly.
I find it refreshing when a game has clearly established rules and punishes you if you do not learn them properly. Too many games hold hands in an effort to maximize their user base.

For anyone struggling to get into a souls game, 3 is probably the best one in terms of finally catching on with you, especially you were like me and hated the sluggish controls in the other games. Dark Souls 3 is a good in between, control wise, of DS and Bloodborne. I've beaten it twice.

There’s a mod that takes away 95% of the difficulty to where the game is actually fun. It still sucks because you can get knocked off and die though
Idk why they would make a game where you lose all the time but maybe us gamers enjoy being losers
