The good news is that you will die so much yet accumulate so many runes in the process that you will be able to level up substantially before getting to Melenia

With only 12 points in Faith you can just spam the "Heal" spell (or any healing spell) and obliterate them.

Yeah, I used that. Very helpful. They still deserve a hearty "frick you".

The two fricks on the lower level have 120k runes being held hostage currently. And my dumbass 60 hrs in just realized I can make a suicide run to them with that talisman that disappears when you die.

About to face Radahn at 75 with samurai. I have uchigatana +16 and longbow+12. Also putting somber stones into bloodhound fang but I’m too comfortable with uchigatana.

I have gotten through a solid amount game using bloody slash but when should I go away from it and respec?

I have moonviel katana and plenty of other items but il prob just try to get blasphemous blade so I can be a match for melania .

Patch Notes for v1.09 that just dropped

Aside from a bunch of PvP balancing and Ash of War adjustments, they also added ray tracing:
quote:

Ray Tracing support has been added for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC versions.

Ray Tracing can be activated in the settings menu:

PS5 / XSX: Game Options > Ray Tracing
PC: Graphics > Ray Tracing Quality

Please note that performance - such as frame rate and resolution - may be impacted while playing with Ray Tracing on.

The minimum and recommended technical specifications to use Ray Tracing can be found at the end of the patch notes.

Digital Foundry with screenshots showing the differences with raytracing off/on:

ON

Probably easier to see the differences if you go to the tweet and arrow back and forth between the images: Digital Foundry Tweet

Finished DS3, and just got to Anor Londo on DS1. It took me a while, but strength is the way. It carried me through the end of DS3 and has made DS1 so much more enjoyable.

My favorite way to play. I wish we'd get more dlc info. I want to run back through a new game. Strength, of course

I’ve done about 4-5 play throughs of ER, and have yet to do a strength run. After I beat DS1, I plan on doing it on ER before the DLC. It’s made life so much easier and the games way more enjoyable. Beating the ever living shite out of everything is the way to go.

I wish there was a FUGS in every DS game. That’s easily my favorite weapon in any of the games.

Zwei in DS1, Greatsword in DS2, Astoria Greatsword in DS3, Greatsword in ER...I don't branch out much.

Also, frick Blighttown. Out of all of the DS/ER areas, that place is the worst. It can eat a bag of dicks.
