My employee has one for sale.. he’s been buying and selling PS5 and Xbox’s since drop. He’s “figured it out” aka he sits and waits for drops all the time lol. Anyway. If you want to pay a premium I’m guessing $650-700. I know he has one

Yep, this is how I got one back in February at walmart.
Key is to remember 2 things:
1) if the app says its In stock - it has to be >6 units to be reliable
2) if the people I the electronics section say tthey have it but cant sell in store, walk away, call the store and speak to the electronics manager and ask them politely. They will say yes - then tell the person at the electronics section (this is what got me mine)

Man I had one in my cart at Amazon just now. Almost broke through. But it just teased me and never processed. Can’t stand this shite. I went through this with the PS5. Thought it would be easier by now.

This is the answer. I just got one from yesterday's Amazon drop. Like Benny says, keep your payment and address information saved and when you get the notification just add to cart and buy.
I don't know if it matters but there is a premium version that claims to get you the notification quicker.

I downloaded the Hot Stock app and set up notifications.
I didn't get anything about Amazon having them yesterday.

I just got a PS5 on the Best Buy drop just now (Hotstock). The XBox is set to arrive on July 2 and the PS5 on July 1. If you haven't gotten an XBox by then I'll sell mine to you at cost ~$550 plus you cover the shipping. I don't need both
