He says while walking around outside in the sun with with head and face bared after firing hundreds/thousands of rounds of ammunition into armored enemies
I don't play MMOs anymore, so I wasn't going to be playing it regardless, but I think they are going to struggle making a game that is both fun and within even significantly loosened bounds of the lore. The fact that the gunplay looks... rough... doesn't bode well for their being able to thread that needle, in my opinion.

Beta is wiping next week. Anyone who played more than 4 hours since october will get 2 friend invites. Will have to fill out survey and sign NDA to play.
They want to focus on larger waves of groups joining to make sure everything is stable before proceeding to launch.
The way it works now, social hubs and pvp open desert is all server wide. Questing/story and building areas are instanced on server layers. So if you wanted to share a base with friends youd all need to be on the same layer.
Ex. Friends all join arak14 and build big base, but every player on arak 1-20 are visible in cities and open desert pvp/spice wars.
They want to focus on larger waves of groups joining to make sure everything is stable before proceeding to launch.

I've got about 40 minutes left in Dune 2... I hope the game is more exciting than these movies.

It's pretty legit. Think it will do well. Looks amazing in 4k. They're going to be one of the first games to use dlss4, multi frame and razers chroma/haptics.
The quests feel like actual story line instead of just fetchy stuff to level with. Plenty of variation on building for unique structures.
Guild play will obv be required for endgame resources, and you have to pay spice taxes to keep your buildings from getting repod
